Cosy Vineyard Cottage at Château Puynard

The cottage is set within our working Côtes de Blaye organic practice vineyard. It is also on the edge of the village, Berson, and across from the local primary school and mayors office. In the village, a short stroll away, is a bakery, a small convenience store, a butchers, a pharmacy and a family-run tabac which also serves refreshments like coffee and beer. The space Downstairs where you enter the cottage is the main living and dining space, with a cosy tv area complete with a stove set into the generous old stone fireplace. To the rear of the room is the dining area with a large table and ample seating. Next to here is the kitchen with a small breakfast bar and aa lovely bright window overlooking part of the vineyard which is being replanted with grain this year. The shower room and toilet located downstairs also which is newly tiled in natural stone. The washing machine/tumble dryer is in this room too. Upstairs are the two airy bedrooms - one double bedroom and one larger room with three single beds. Both rooms overlook the landscape and all bed linen is from John Lewis. Guest access The entire cottage is for the guests use and the patio/garden out front too. There is ample space to park and use of an electric car charging point if necessary. Of course, guests are welcome to roam the vineyard and surrounding countryside as they wish. Other things to note The house is situated on our working vineyard, called Chateau Magdeleine-Bouhou. We also have a small distillery which is in its infancy on the winery grounds, named Two Origins Distillery. We are currently making Whiskey and Gin there. Lastly, we have a second vineyard called Château Puynard about 5 minutes away by car (or about an hours walk on the quieter roads). Tastings can be arranged - just let us know! Other things to note regarding the house are that the shared toilet/shower room is located downstairs, there are some low lying beams in the bedrooms and also the wooden stairs are quite steep.
