Other things to note Please note that there are around 9 km of dust road to get to the cottage. Much of that is a main farm road artery but does often have corrugations and when the rains come can be very slippery. While a 4x4 is not necessary, a low slung saloon may find it frustrating (during rains impassable). This is an authentic Karoo farmstay - sometimes it can be hot and dusty, other times very cold. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THIS IS AN AFRICAN FARM. SNAKES, INSECTS, WEATHER, CHALLENGING TERRAIN ALL POSE THEIR OWN THREATS AND YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY.
