Nestled in a 54 acre wildlife sanctuary, half a mile from the cute coastal and river town of Nehalem, Oregon, five minutes to Nehalem Bay State Park and endless miles of Manzanita Beach, "El campo mar" house is genuinely the country meets the coast. It's south exposure and large deck was intentionally crafted to maximize daylight. Short drives to excellent hiking, fantastic crabbing, spots for comfortable kayak rides and canoe trips, and surf and kite destinations. *Month Minimum Rental* The house has three levels: --Entry from driveway/front porch (two steps). -- Main floor: spacious kitchen with three-seat island, prep-sink and primary sink. Double-height dining and living room with huge vista windows and wood burning stove. Large laundry room and pantry off the kitchen. -- Second floor: Atrium with stunning views, collection of books and games. Three/four bedrooms and two bathrooms. One of the bedrooms is a queen with en-suite bathroom with tub. One office bedroom has two twins that can be linked to make a king. The other small office has one twin. The final bedroom has a full size futon and a twin bed (this is pictured as an office only). -- Basement: large TV room with custom wet bar, guest room with king bed, guest room with queen bed, and full bath. We are set up for visitors and entertaining; whether you bring your kids, your friends, or host grandkids and cousins, there will be room enough for everyone to spread out and have their own time to relax, read, and commune (though no large parties or reunions without permission and extra cleaning). The town of Nehalem is known for its vintage shops and brunch spots. Wanda's for brunch, Buttercup for Chowder and artesian ice-cream, and Wolf Moon for pour-overs, sourdough boules, and croissant. A 5 minute drive to Manzanita town will bring you to many boutiques and several grocery stores (an organic co-op, Fresh Foods, and the Little Apple). In addition, Marzano’s serves great pies, the Offshore Grill for more upscale seafood, the Wine Bar, Whiskey Bar, Thai food, etc. In other words, you can enjoy the solace of the trees, the views of the bay, and have a great coastal vacation. A 10-minute walk to Wanda's, 5 minutes walk to the large Nehalem City park. Five minute drive to Manzanita Beach town and endless miles of beach. Need a car!
