The Lucky Homestead...owner-occupied, charming garden cottage in South Minneapolis, built in 1907, blocks from the Mississippi River. Peaceful, quiet, neighborhood with friendly neighbors. 10 minute drive to U of M, St. Thomas, St. Kate's. The main level is a separate Airbnb and may be available to rent concurrently. This listing is for the garden-level, basement apartment. There is an egress window in the living room and small glass block windows in the kitchen and bedroom. The space Since this house is vintage and quirky, there is a narrow, steeper staircase to enter the garden-level apartment. If you have mobility issues - please keep this in mind. Full kitchen and bathroom (shower-only, no spigot for baths), living room and bedroom. Kitchen is stocked with items needed for cooking and coffee. Comfortable Queen-size bed with down comforter, wifi and streaming. Our internet is Fiber through US Internet and is 300 Mbps. The main level is also an Airbnb. If you are highly sensitive to noise, the garden level apartment may not be for you. In the spring, summer and fall, please feel free to spend time in the shared garden space. Patio with grill, fire pit, hammock and Adirondack chairs are all available for your use. Guest access Private rear entry using key pad. Steeper stairway to the garden level apartment. Kitchen, bathroom, living room, bedroom and laundry are all accessible. Other things to note We have two lovely little electric fireplaces that add to the coziness of the living room and bedroom. The apartment can be chilly as it's in the basement, so bring cozy clothes for evenings. Please be sure to turn off the heating units and only run them when you are in the room to enjoy them.
