Description

It is a 114-year-old house, built as a painting studio "Project Paradise" for Teodor Axentowicz, by Stanisław Witkiewicz. The house remained in the hands of artists all the time, being both their studio and apartment. Despite the proximity of the center of Zakopane, it stands on the outskirts, above the Bystra stream. It is surrounded by greenery and sculptures by Henryk Burzec, who in 1984 opened "Raj" for guests, creating an original gallery in it. We want to continue this tradition by making "Paradise" a place of rest and creative work. The space Before arriving in “Paradise”, it is worth knowing that living in a 114-year-old house is different from the comforts offered by modern hotels or guesthouses. We try to make the house and the space we offer as cozy and atmospheric as possible, and the atmosphere in the house is unique - warm and family-like. However, we will not overlook the specificity of the place, which cannot be compared to modern construction and technical solutions. During your stay Since we live in the house on a daily basis, we will definitely meet in the common areas. We will add wood to the fireplace and replenish the supply of coffee or tea. We want the "Paradise" space to be open to guests, to conversations and relationships, so we will invite you to our living room in a selected and previously agreed form - dinner, game or just conversation. However, if you want to relax or work in peace, we will not impose ourselves. Other things to note Winters in "Paradise" can be more difficult. While the rooms are really warm (thanks to a good heat distribution system between the rooms), the kitchen or the corridor can get chilly on frosty days. In spring and summer, the warmest place in the house is the glazed veranda with a table. You can then drink your morning coffee there with a view of the sculptures and Giewont. The bathroom with a bathtub is located on the ground floor next to the living room. Of course, there is hot water here (from an electric boiler). On the first floor, next to the rooms, there is a mini toilet with a sink and running water (cold only). The rooms are located on the first floor, and you can get there by climbing the very atmospheric, wooden but narrow and steep stairs.
