Charming refurbished Victorian cottage in a tranquil riverside setting with a private garden bordered by the River Cam/Granta on the old mill run at Whittlesford Mill. It is 6 miles from Cambridge, Duxford IWM is 2 miles away and there is a mainline station - Cambridge (10 minutes), London Liverpool Street (1 hour). The village has a gastro pub called The Tickell Arms, a restaurant called Provenance and The Red Lion. Saffron Walden is 8 miles away where Audley End House can also be found. The space Riverside Cottage is a Victorian Cottage and has recently undergone a total programme of sensitive restoration. There is underfloor heating to the ground floor and a woodburner. A new oak kitchen with granite worktops with an island, range cooker, full size dishwasher and washing machine. Upstairs there are two bedrooms with new beds and mattresses, two new en-suite bathrooms and new carpet. The garden of the cottage is right on the banks of The River Cam/Granta with peaceful countryside and river views. Guest access Entire detached cottage and garden for sole use of guests. Other things to note The kitchen is stocked with tea, coffee, sugar, condiments and breakfast foods including freshly laid eggs from our hens, Fleur, Dahlia, Daisy, Shirley, Sylvia and Tallulah. We also have another holiday let which is a separate converted barn on our side of the river. The barn is also fully self contained with separate kitchen and living area.
