Cabin in Barnardsville
Cabin in Barnardsville
Description
This unique place sits near the boundary of the National forest. With a composting toilet and close proximity to nature, it’s best viewed as premium, luxury camping experience. To be warm you have to build fire, to be cool, set screens in the window. In the hopes that these ‘labors’ will deter the faint of heart, and welcome the brave, experienced spirits who are fascinated by nature and ready to get closer to it. The space South facing field with awesome views, 3 creeks converge and meander past cabin. I live up the driveway and have a custom woodworking studio and stay out here the majority of the week. It’s peaceful and serene out here for sure, but it’s real country; there’s neighbors that shoot guns for 10 minutes every couple of months, you can smell and hear cows 10 days out of the year, the occasional truck rumbles down the road with no muffler.. all said, it’s incredibly peaceful with some occasional contrast. Guest access The woodshop up the driveway and storage barn is private, but guests are welcome to leave their car here and hike the National forest. Other things to note The firewood on the porch is for heating the cabin. (I don’t charge extra for it) but it’s not for making a camp fire out front. You gotta collect your own or I could make bundles for sale.
