Cozy, Comfy & Centered Around Nature! Enjoy this 3-bedroom lake house located on peaceful Sugarloaf Lake across from beautiful Sugarloaf Mountain in rural Hackett, Arkansas. Enjoy fishing, kayaking/canoeing, hiking, & taking in the breathtaking natural views featuring assorted wildlife and a natural waterfall. Located 9 miles from Hackett city center, 24 miles from historic downtown Fort Smith, AR & 17 miles from Choctaw Casino in Pocola, OK. The space This property is known as "Sasquatch Landing at Sugarloaf." The main living area features an open-floor plan between the living room and kitchen. Well-furnished space for a cozy feel. Sitting areas in living room include sofa and a recliner. Roku TV in living room and master bedroom with Wi-Fi provided. Full kitchen including refrigerator with filtered water and ice maker, electric range, & dishwasher. Plenty of pots, pans, platters, dinnerware and real metal utensils. Wine glasses and corkscrew. Paper plates, paper towels and K-cups provided. Kitchen contains many condiments and spices, blender, K-Cup coffee maker with full pot option, electric can opener, microwave and toaster. Dining table seats four, and there is a bar area that seats two. Bar-b-que grill with charcoal available. Bedroom 1 includes king size bedroom suite with memory foam mattress, phone charger, alarm clock and lots of storage. Amazing views from this room of the mountain and lake. Double doors lead out to large screened in back deck area. This room has two steps at the entrance. This room also has a chair that converts to a small twin bed; perfect for a child. Bedroom 2 includes queen bedroom suite, phone charger, alarm clock, large walk-in closet with hangers and ceiling fan for extra comfort. This room also has a teepee in the closet with some fun toys. Bedroom 3 includes 2 twin beds, ceiling fan, closet for storage with coat hangers, phone charger and alarm clock. There is a writing desk with reading lamp and bookshelf. Extra blankets and pillows (firm and soft) located in each bedroom. Bathroom has many amenities such as plenty of toilet paper, many bath towels/bath cloths, and hair dryer. Also provided are a few "backup basket" items in case you forgot something; such as soap, bodywash, toothpaste, feminine products & more. Bathroom is well-lit and contains a bath/shower combination. Toilet includes a bidet, but of course, we also have plenty of toilet paper available. Please note, this is an older home that is on septic system (septic system can be overloaded when more than the 7 full-time guests are using it). Home has central heating and air. Portable Electric Fireplace can be relocated to any room desired. Please note, the property does not include a wood burning fireplace. Home is total electric, so we do not have a carbon monoxide detector. We love pets and are pet-friendly, but please keep pets off of the furniture. Outdoor areas include: 1.) Large well-lit, screened in front porch area with a lounge area and a table for games/dining. This is also the front entry to the house, and the doorway has two steps to enter. Access to laundry room in this area also, and it has one step to access it. Laundry room has washer, dryer, iron and ironing board and is stocked with laundry detergent and fabric sheets if needed. 2.) Large screened in back deck can be accessed from the house or by using the exterior steps. Deck includes dining table and chairs with ceiling fan and light for extra comfort. It features a comfy sitting area with coffee table and more. Relax and take in the views of the lake and mountain while sipping your coffee or hot cocoa. During your stay, you will have access to a canoe, kayak and paddle boat. We also have some lifejackets available on the premises; please bring any special sizes needed. Lifejackets must be worn while using the canoe or paddle boat. Not responsible for accidents. Smoking permitted on deck area or outside; ashtrays provided. Absolutely No Smoking Allowed Inside House. Outdoor security cameras are located at front exterior door and back exterior steps of property. They are for security purposes only and record the parking area and back yard. They do not audio record. Phone service is very spotty in the area, so it makes for a great place to unplug. But in case you do not want to unplug, Wi-Fi calling can be enabled on most cell phones which will allow your cellphone to work while at the property. Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Bream, Catfish and Crappie are primarily fished for on this lake. Wildlife that can be seen in our area include eagles, deer, squirrels, bullfrogs, fox, mountain lions, black bear, coyote, wild pigs, racoons, opossums, armadillos, many different species of birds and more. Many native plants are located throughout the area. Hiking is allowed along the entire lake front and some areas of the mountain. The small spillway area is nice to visit too. If you feel adventurous, take a trip down the steep trail to the natural waterfall (best view after a rain). The lake is maintained and overseen by the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission. Please refer to the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission website for all lake guidelines if you plan to enjoy time out on the lake. Guest access Front door has a keyless entry; one-time guest code provided upon confirmed reservation. Guests will be allowed to access the entire home during their stay.
