Armila is a Guna indigenous community in San Blas Panama. They preserve their culture and traditions, and it is an authentic and non-touristy destination. You can immerse yourself in the Guna culture, visit traditional houses, and learn about their way of life. There are also tourist activities such as boat rides, jungle hikes, and visits to waterfalls and beaches. At certain times, you can witness the arrival and spawning of sea turtles, protected by conservation programs. The space There you will find Cabañas Ibedi Al Natural, operated by its owners Mr. Nacho Crespo and Gladys Arosemena and their children who will welcome you to the community. These cabins offer an authentic experience close to nature. Built with natural materials such as bamboo and palm, they provide a rustic and cozy atmosphere. Guests can enjoy comfortable and simple rooms, equipped with beds, mosquito nets and shared bathrooms. Some cabins also have balconies or terraces where you can enjoy panoramic views of the jungle and the natural environment. The rate includes: Reception in Armila. Guest access To access the Ibedi al Natural cabins in Armila, guests generally arrive in the community by boat or via a walk from Puerto Obaldia. Once in the community, guests are greeted by the staff of the Ibedi al Natural cabins and provided with information about the accommodation and activities available. BUT FIRST: To get to Armila, San Blas, Panama, from Panama City, you can take an Air Panama charter flight on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays from Marcos A. Gelabert in Albrook. The flight lasts approximately 60 minutes and arrives in Puerto Obaldía-San Blas. From there, you can take a boat or walk for about 1 hour and 30 minutes to get to Armila. If you are coming from Colombia, you must first arrive in Capurganá, in the municipality of Acandí, Chocó. There is no road access to Capurganá, so you must get to Necoclí or Turbo and then take a boat or catamaran to Capurganá, which takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes. From Capurganá, you can arrange a boat transfer to Puerto Obaldía, which takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes. From Puerto Obaldía, you can reach Armila in about 15 to 20 minutes by boat or through a moderate walk of up to 1 hour and 30 minutes, depending on weather conditions. The boat transfer option is more common during the months of May to November. During your stay We will assist you in any way to ensure a pleasant stay. Other things to note It is important to note that, as an indigenous community, it is essential to respect the rules and traditions of Armila and follow the directions of the locals. If you are coming from Colombia: Valid passport with exit stamp from Colombia: Your passport must be valid and have an exit stamp from Colombia. You can get this stamp in Capurganá, a place where you can stamp your departure from the country. Yellow Fever Vaccination Card: It is mandatory to have a vaccination card showing that you have been vaccinated against Yellow Fever. Make sure you have this card and that the vaccine is up to date. These documents are required by the Panamanian authorities and without them, you may not be allowed to enter Panama or stamp your entry into the country. Make sure you have these documents in order before you travel.
