Unique & Fun Victorian Home next to Forsyth Park 🪩
Description
Come relax and have an amazing weekend in our fun filled Savannah home right next to Forsyth Park! We've designed this house to be the ultimate stay. We've got exciting features including disco balls, custom neon lights, velvet couches, moroccan floor pillows & rugs, vinyl record player, a full mini wet bar, a porch and unique touches to make your stay extra special. We welcome birthday parties, bachelorette weekends and families! Can't wait to host you! @casadeperiwinkle on insta STVR #02237 The space Our space is playful, bright and airy. We want you to have the most fun stay possible. Each bedroom has a different theme -- a bohemian room, a British room (God save the Queen), a Moroccan room and a Wes Anderson themed room. We have exciting little touches like a greenery wall and lava lamps. We hope that your stay in our home revives your excitement for life. We have a fully renovated kitchen with brand new appliances for all your cooking needs and also two new renovated bathrooms (one full, one half). This Airbnb comfortably fits 10 people in 5 queen-sized beds in 3 bedrooms. We do allow 12+ people to stay if you’re willing to squeeze a bit — there is an extra couches and a day bed in the living areas if you wish to do so with plenty of extra blankets and pillows in the bohemian room. We recommend only 10 people per stay but we also like to offer the option for more if needed. Please note that this is a historic Victorian home built in 1900 with the original wood flooring and doors. You will be required to climb one set of stairs in the entryway to reach the Airbnb which is located on the 2nd floor apartment of the house. When my husband and I aren't traveling, we occupy the lower floor apartment of the duplex. If you're worried about noise, don't be! We've soundproofed the apartments well & we're eager for you to have the best time celebrating on your trip! We encourage you to have as much fun as possible during your stay! We live on a street that is typically quiet but we do live in the middle of a downtown area so there will be exterior noise from the city at times. ** This house is not accessible for people that have limited mobility or difficulty walking up stairs ** We typically only allow 2+ day bookings but feel free to reach out to us with special requests for 1 day bookings and we can see if we can accommodate. We also now have a pack & play and a stair guard for our guests with small children. Guest access Guest will be accessing their own space via a smart lock, so you'll never lock yourself out. This is a historical duplex like most of the houses in the area so there will be long term residents (your hosts, a young married couple) living in the bottom separate apartment during your stay also. They have a completely separate entrance in the back. Please respect our privacy and do not wander into our gated backyard / patio area as it’s not for Airbnb use. There is a door in the entry way that has been sealed and deadlocked to separate the two apartments. This door is from the original house so we’ve kept it to keep the Victorian feel alive with the stain glass. During your stay please do not try and force this door open / damage the door. There’s a lock on the Airbnb side of the door also. We will try to accommodate early check ins as much as possible but please understand that our Airbnb is booked almost 100% of the time so we typically have to stick to a strict check in and out time as to be able to effectively clean the house for the next guests. You're always welcome to drop off luggage in the entry way if you arrive early as the maid cleans if you send us a message before hand and let us know (after 11:30 AM checkout of previous guests). There is also a luggage storage facility a 4 minute walk from the airbnb on Barnard St. Other things to note Our neighborhood is lovely, historic & very safe. We’re located on the most lovely public park in town, Forsyth Park. Downtown is walkable (20 minutes) or easily accessible by Uber & Lyft if you prefer (averages $8 for a ride to the river walk). There’s also a Kroger grocery store 0.4 miles away if you need to grab groceries and an independent health foods shop called “Brighter Day” that’s about 700 feet away at the top of the park. There's also a farmer's market every Saturday morning right next to the house at the top of Forsyth park. If you need groceries delivered we recommend Instacart or Whole Foods delivery service. There’s a lovely wine shop Le Chai, craft beer shop White Whale Craft Ales, coffee shop the Sentient Bean, restaurants Local 11ten, Betty Bombers, Alexander's Bistro & rooftop bar Perch in our immediate area. Our favorite food and drinks close by are The Black Rabbit, Strange Bird, Collins Quarters & Bull Street Taco. The closest liquor store is 0.5 miles away called Johnnie Ganems.
