Live simply in a magical environment. The Art House @ Chiang Dao offers the unique experience of living in harmony with art, nature, and community. With the choice of cabin, home-stay, or communal Thai-style accommodation, the Art House caters to all, from the large group to the family and the solo traveller. Located within the Makhampom Art Space, spanning 4-acres (2-hectares), the Art House living experience offers numerous tranquil places to relax amidst the lakes and gardens. The space Attached to the Makhampom Theatre, the Waterlily House includes an open plan communal space and 2 private rooms (1 twin, 1 double). The communal space includes individual mattresses, pillow, bedding, mosquito nets and fans. The communal amenities block includes includes 3 shared bathrooms, hand basin, and hand laundry area. Washing machines are available under the Star House. Waterlily House guests can also freely use the microwave, fridge, and other facilities in The Hub, beside the Star House. Guest access The Art House @ Chiang Dao is as much about the outdoor spaces as the accommodation. Staying within the Makhampom Art Space offers guests the experience of living with art, with the environment, and with the community. Makhampom’s philosophy of living simply together is encapsulated in our philosophy of providing service but without servants. Guests can wander the lakes and gardens, enjoy the Gooseberry Cafe-Gallery, relax on the boat in the lakes, jump on a bicycle, or make the most of our laundry and kitchen facilities. There may be occasional events, such as moonlight cinema, gallery openings, and blackbox theatre, which will be accessible to all. There may also be some closed workshop or seminar activities that will be identified as private functions.
