Welcome to our newly renovated luxury three-bedroom, two-bathroom Grade B1 listed cottage situated in the heart of the popular town of Donaghadee. Having recently undergone a major programme of renovation our 200 year old cottage successfully combines all the essentials for comfortable modern living with the charm and character of years gone by. The space The Captain’s Cottage is a spacious three bedroom end- terrace townhouse with accomodation for up to six people. High ceilings, beautiful Georgian windows with shutters, stripped pine flooring are all original features which add so much character to the property. Downstairs the bright hand painted bespoke kitchen has a dining area to enjoy meals with family and friends. It is well equipped with all essentials including dishwasher, fridge, freezer, oven, induction hob and microwave. The large living room features a smart TV, plenty of comfortable seating and books and games to enjoy. Wifi is available throughout the cottage. Upstairs there are three charming and comfortable bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed and an ensuite shower room with large shower, toilet and basin. The second bedroom features a four-poster double bed and the third bedroom is a twin room. The bedrooms offer plenty of storage and hanging space, as well as original shutters or blinds to darken the windows for a good nights rest. The main bathroom has a free-standing roll top bath with a shower over, toilet and basin. A south facing enclosed courtyard garden can be enjoyed all day. With 2 patio areas it’s the ideal spot to enjoy a drink, light the barbecue and chill out after a busy day on the beach! The house is conveniently located - a short five-minute walk will take you to the lighthouse, harbour and beach and Donaghadee’s many award-winning restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. Sporting facilities are also on our doorstep, with tennis courts, fishing trips, paddle boarding, sea swimming and golf on offer in the town. Donaghadee is a gateway to many beautiful beaches, coastal walks and quiet country roads ideal for cycling. Secure covered onsite storage for golf clubs, bicycles, paddle boards etc is available on request. George Best city airport is approximately 35 minutes drive away, and our cottage is well placed to explore Belfast city, the Mournes and the beautiful Co. Down coastline.
