Very convenient location for multiple skier abilities, family & dog-friendly, ALL ABR Trailside!! This is THE closest (non-ABR owned) lodging available to the trailhead. Plenty of off-street parking for large trailers. The space Old unique historic Farmhouse (original log structure), step out your door and Classic/Skate XC Ski on ABR Trails. This is a 120+yr old home w/quirks that go along with it, but the location can't be beat for the best XC Ski experience. XC Ski out your door onto Deer Trail/Jack Flats which are easy beginner trails offering access to all levels of skier abilities. This location also offers quick access to skating trails & a short walk to dog trails. Dog Friendly - please take care w/pet if left unattended & scoop all waste (scoop/bucket is provided) This is a family farmhouse that the owners have just decided to offer for ABR XC Ski season rental. We hope you enjoy having a dog-friendly, Trailside XC Ski In/Out option available. ABR Trail passes/lessons are NOT included in rental & can be purchased directly at ABR Trailhead. Kitchen - refrigerator, range, microwave, coffeepot, toaster, dishware, cookware, & dish soap/sponge Bathroom - shower (no tub) 2 Bedrooms Upstairs 1 - Queen 2 - 1 Full 2 Twins WiFi-spotty at times, rural location & local sources are limited ROKU TV (internet only - enter your own credentials for access) Full Drive Up accessibility to home Plenty of off-street parking for multiple long trailers (snowmobiles/etc). Let us know in advance if/how many trailers so we can ensure plowing to accommodate. Dogs are $80/dog/stay. If more than 1 dog, you must message & disclose & the price will be adjusted accordingly. Please NO PETS on Deer Trail/Jack Flats at property. All pets must be walked up to designated dog trails (<300m) for pet friendly trail access. Also available are the NEW pet-friendly trails directly across from HoLmestead/Pioneer Rd up to Erwin Township Historical Building. Note – This is the Northwoods & there is a possibility of cluster flies (don’t bite, don’t carry disease, harmless). This is a 120 yr old farmhouse & there are no preventative measures that are 100% effective. Research cluster flies (NOT common house fly) & if this is something you aren’t comfortable with, please carefully consider this message before booking so there are no unfortunate misunderstandings.
