This historic 1941 loft is located at the entrance of Casco Viejo where you’re steps from the fish market and all the cool cafés, rooftops, and trendy restaurants that make up the neighborhood. Fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer combo, 1.5 bath, bedroom on 2nd floor, 2 balconies + communal rooftop, projector w/Netflix, fast internet, and great AC. You’re also directly in front of the Cinta Costera park for running, biking, tennis courts. Near local airport for flights to Bocas! The space This is my personal apartment that I rent out when I am not in Panama so please treat it with love and respect :) Since it’s a place that I live part-time, you’ll find that it is stocked with EVERYTHING you need for a comfortable stay. This apartment is the perfect way to experience the bustling local life in Casco Viejo and Santa Ana. In front of the apartment local kids often play soccer, there’s fresh ceviche literally a block away, walk to the San Felipe Market to buy fresh produce, and explore all the charming cafés, restaurants, and museums that Casco has to offer. The best part is that it’s quiet compared to all the noisy places right in Casco. Directly in front of the 8km Cinta Costera with the best waterfront biking & running paths in the city (bike rentals right below the apartment). You can also use the included rackets to play tennis on the free courts. This unit is on the second floor but has a lot of stairs and no elevator so please take that into account if you’ll be bringing a lot of heavy luggage. Walking into the apartment you’ll first notice the open-concept kitchen that flows into the living room. The kitchen comes fully equipped with an air fryer, microwave, gas stove & oven, electric kettle, and French press coffee maker. Water is safe to drink from the tap! You can count on there being local coffee, tea, sugar, oil, salt, and pepper in the apartment because I love when Airbnbs come stocked with the basics. For laundry, there is washer unit in the kitchen closet with detergent provided. The dishwasher is currently out of order. The living room features vaulted 15ft ceilings that make the room feel incredibly spacious. There is a dedicated desk for anyone who needs to work at home and a 3-seat sofa for hanging out. Enjoy super fast 300mb speed fiber optic Internet that’s perfect for long stay remote workers. This area opens to the double doors of the first balcony where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in the morning. The view from here is of the back alley of the building so instead of not having a nice view, I’ve surrounded the entire balcony with plants to create a tropical oasis. Heading up the stairs is the bedroom with a king bed, closet, dresser, and full bathroom. The shower has hot water. Body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, and iron provided as well as towels. Instead of a television, there is a projector on the nightstand that you can watch from the bedroom. Just turn the projector on, and choose a movie to watch using the included Netflix account. Off the bedroom is the second balcony with an internal view of the building. I’ve kept it simple with a hammock and a few plants to enjoy as a place to read or escape a snoring partner. The highlight of the building is definitely the communal rooftop! It’s only shared with 4 apartments with a 360 view of the Panama City skyline, Casco Viejo, ocean, and Ancon Hill. You’ll find a few chairs and table to hangout and enjoy the views.
