We call it "basecamp" because it has all that you need when you return from your Adirondack Adventure. Not fancy, just the basics, but a cozy place to return to in the evenings to re-group for your next adventure. Single bed with a trundle bed (pulled from underneath) for sleeping arrangements. Kitchen has basic amenities. microwave, fridge, toaster oven, coffee maker, single burner hot plate for cooking or boiling water, and most essential equipment like pans , bowls, knives. All who have seen Base Camp say it is cute as a button. There is a large front porch for storing your bike or gear out of the elements. A cozy little recliner to lean back and put your feet up in, and a fuzzy blanket to snuggle in while you stream your favorite show and unwind after your days adventure. Hungry? Cedar Run Bakery & Market Next is right next door, and you have your own private parking spot while you shop. Grab a take n’ bake dinner to pop in the toaster oven, a bottle of wine, or nearly anything else you can think of! Guests are allotted one designated parking space, and are welcome to sit on the picnic tables at Cedar Run. I will be working at Cedar Run (right Nextdoor) and I live less than 2 miles away. I am available if you need something, but otherwise will leave you to yourself after check-in. Base Camp is in the center of Keene, walking distance to local shops and restaurants, close access to most trailheads, etc. Base Camp will provide ONE parking spot. Should you have a second vehicle, we will show you alternate parking upon your arrival. There is limited public transportation in Keene, so please plan accordingly. Why do we have a 5 day minimum? We have priced basecamp to be an affordable place to stay for someone who wants to get out and enjoy the area during the day, but just needs a place to return to and unwind at night. With that in mind, we still insist on keeping things VERY clean. Longer stays make the process of laundering bedding and blankets (yes we do them all) worth our time and effort.
