From the moment you arrive, you'll be captivated by the meticulous attention to detail that has gone into crafting an exceptional guest space. You enter through an inviting, secure greenhouse. Located back and secluded from the main road, our accommodations offer you the peace and quiet you desire. There are no steps to climb and a lock box for the key ensures your safety and security. The Master Bedroom boasts a Tempur-Pedic memory foam King sized mattress, two dressers, desk/work station, TV, and direct entrance into the bathroom. The second bedroom features a Queen size brass bed with Tempur-Pedic mattress, dressers, TV, clothes hamper, and reading area. And the third room is a study/office with a desk, conference table, and a twin bed for those much-needed breaks from work. The bathroom is fully accessible with a 4' x 5' roll-in shower, shower seat, and grab bars. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the amenities you need, including a refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker with filters/coffee/sugar, Cuisinart Stainless steel pots/pans, dishes-plates, large coffee mugs, flatware, cutlery, baking and roasting dishes, and more. Relax in our large great room/main living room with TV and Roku for streaming, comfortable seating in two La-Z-Boy reclining chairs, and a real leather sofa. Our "Tankless" on-demand hot water heater ensures that you never have to wait for hot water, and our Maytag stacking washer and dryer with laundry soap and a counter top for folding clothes makes doing laundry a breeze. Our energy-efficient, climate-controlled environment provides you with year-round comfort, and our radiant floor heat is preferred by many over forced hot air systems. In the winter, the floor is warm, and in the warm weather, the ceramic tile floor is cool. Central air conditioning and an Air-to-Air Heat Exchanger control ensure that you always have fresh air. This exceptional "green" energy efficient home is designed for consistent temperatures year-round, without the drafty, uneven temperatures that can be common in conventionally built structures. Plus, hosts benefit from lower utility bills making it possible for guests to keep the thermostat set exactly how you like it while relaxing and enjoying your stay in complete comfort. Upon arrival, you will find paper towels, napkins, dishwashing liquid and dishwasher soap, laundry soap, toilet paper, tissues in the bedrooms, kitchen, and bathroom, bar soap, and liquid soap. Our hosts have years of hospitality industry knowledge for a quality home away from home experience. And unlike other hosts, we do NOT leave a list of cleaning chores for guests to do before departure. Our property is a "Firefly sanctuary," and you will be amazed at the beauty of these incredible creatures in our garden during the summer. World-renowned artist Lucy Sikes even captured the fireflies in our garden at dusk during her stay. Hosts personally built this unique handcrafted home from a hand-hewn hardwood post and beam 1868 barn after dismantling and relocating it on a semi-truck to its present location. The barn is now a 21st Century, State of the Art "Green" / energy-efficient, ergonomically / accessibility designed 2.5-story home. Wi-fi is free, and the passcode is provided through the Airbnb reservation system when your reservation is confirmed, and it's also taped to the wall in the guest quarters. Prior to arrival, our hosts will send a text message with parking instructions, lockbox code, cellphone contact numbers for hosts, and wifi information. You don't need to be vaccinated against Covid-19 since this guest space is not shared with others. So come and experience the ultimate in privacy, comfort, and relaxation in our exceptional guest space! We offer two (2) free parking spaces, with a maximum allowance of (3) cars. The third car incurs a $3 per night charge. Our private parking area is situated away from the main road, ensuring a safe and quiet environment. Access to the entrance is facilitated by a walkway with a slight incline, featuring a wooden railing and motion sensor lighting for added convenience and security. *******Please let us know if you have specific mobility needs so we can provide you with additional instructions in advance of your arrival. Please feel free to come and go as you wish, anytime day or night. Check-in is 3 PM or after. The lock box with key is on the wall on the right side next to the entry door. Airbnb will send you the lock box combination on your confirmation receipt. We have fairly flexible schedules. We are involved in various activities but we enjoy interacting with our guests as time permits. We respect people's privacy and it is important that your privacy be maintained. AirBnb should send you a confirmation receipt prior to your arrival with the lock box combination, parking instructions, and Wifi pass code. Remember you can also refer to the section on "House Rules" for your parking instructions if by chance they do not arrive in Airbnb's confirmation receipt. We are near to major corporate business centers/parks located in: • Valley Forge • King of Prussia • Chesterbrook • Great Valley • Malvern •Paoli • the Mainline •Frazer • Exton• Glenmoore • Downingtown •Chester springs • and Limerick. Pennsylvania Dutch Country for farm fresh produce during the growing season •2nd largest mall in the US • Valley forge National historic park •Marsh Creek State park for boating• French Creek State park with miles of hiking/biking trails• and the Schuylkill river bike trail are all within driving distance from our home. (25-40 minutes depending on traffic) We consider our location as suburban/rural. The roads are scenic and winding with rolling hills, yet we are within driving distance of movie theaters, restaurants, breweries, etc. Multiple Equestrian Centers throughout Chester County are located in close proximity to our home ( in Cochranville, Unionville, and Honeybrook) providing horse boarding, horse shows, fox hunts, etc. Refer to our Guidebook for more details of area attractions: •Longwood Gardens • Brandywine River Museum • United Sports; •Historic Covered Bridges • a Mazar, etc. UBER and LYFT can provide for your transportation as needed from our location. There are local car rental agencies as well if you wish to rent a car. Millennium Car and Limo Service is a local company that operates 24-7 if you need transportation for more than 4 people at a time. There are just a few local businesses within walking distance (30 minutes each way or less) for eating out or purchasing groceries. There are two local Amtrak train stations, one in Parkesburg and the other in Coatesville with service to Philadelphia, Washington, New York, Lancaster and Harrisburg. The Septa regional rail train station is in Thorndale for travel to and from Philadelphia’s 30th Street, Suburban, Market St. East stations. If you are arriving at the Philadelphia International Airport you can take a train to the 30th St station and connect to an Amtrak train to Parkesburg, PA. It is approximately 3-3.5 miles from the Parkesburg train station to your guest quarters and Uber and Lyft provide transportation services from the train station. Please NOTE: Septa’s Thorndale/Paoli train does NOT operate in or out of Thorndale on Sundays or holidays. All passengers must exit or enter the train on a Sunday or Holiday in Malvern, PA. It is also possible to take AMTRAK to Parkesburg and you will need to check availability, rates, etc. Our community has 24 hour police protection accessed through 911. An Urgent care center is 3-5 miles away, plus pharmacies, a regional airport, and a local dairy farm with fresh milk and eggs year round, and fresh seasonal produce. Pennsylvania has a 6% room tax on stays of less than 30 nights and a 5% Chester County tax for stays that are less than 31 nights . When you book a 31 night stay you realize an 11% savings. Airbnb collects the state and county taxes, if applicable from guests which they forward directly to the taxing authorities. Maintaining a clean environment is our highest priority.
