Charming 2 Bedroom Cottage in the Peak District

1 The Cross is a delightfully refurbished country cottage in the beautiful village of Great Longstone, close to the picturesque village of Ashford-in-the-Water and the stunning Chatsworth House. A great village location with two pubs within walking distance and a shop. It’s ideally situated to enjoy the best of the Peak District. With two individually styled bedrooms, one king bed and one double the property is perfect for couples or families. The space 1 The Cross has recently been refurbished to a high standard with lots of luxury features, a mix of antique and modern furniture. The living room is light and airy and has ample seating for 4 guests and is a great spot for unwinding after a day exploring the peak District. Note that the fireplace in the living room is decorative and cannot be used. There is a a well-designed kitchen and a dining room with farmhouse style dining table which comfortably seats 4 people. Upstairs there are two individually styled bedrooms, one king bed and one double. There is a good sized family bathroom with a free standing bath, separate shower, wash basin and WC. We provide a bath and hand towel per guest. In the basement you can access the washing machine and tumble dryer. Although the property does not have any outdoor space of its own, 50 yards away you’ll find the quiet country pub The Crispin Inn and 150 yards away The White Lion. Both have outdoor seating, perfect for outdoor dining in the Summer months. A village shop is located 250 yards down the road selling fresh milk and eggs from a local farm. Guest access Guests have access to the whole property. There is no parking with the property but there is ample on-street parking outside the house and further up the street. Other things to note You Should Know: Note that the fireplace in the living room is decorative and cannot be used. Noise Policy - due to the quiet village location, late night noise must be confined to inside the building by 10pm. Neighbours are in close proximity. Both the King and Double bed are fixed and cannot be split to make twin beds. Please bring your own cot bed linen as this is not provided.
