Other things to note Originally constructed in 1965, Dr. Stephen Bednar resided at the home for 44 years. A distinguished graduate of the University of Princeton and University of Pennsylvania Medical School, Dr. Bednar's journey included an internship at Walter Reed Hospital and three years of service in the Army during the Vietnam War. Dr. Bednar was a national leader in medical care, until his passing in 2015. Local lore fondly remembers Dr. Bednar, who meticulously planned the picturesque fields on the property, hand-selecting each tree while adding a pond stocked with koi and carp. Today, a legendary secret whispers of a hidden Civil War-era bunker somewhere on the grounds, a mystery carried by Dr. Bednar to his grave. Under the ownership of the Rizer family since 2016, the residence has undergone a thoughtful renovation, resulting in an updated main house and impeccably manicured grounds. Constantly evolving with modernizations, the Rizer family warmly welcomes you to experience the timeless charm and enchantment of this truly special place.
