Lovingly updated oceanfront cottage, located on a fabulous and quiet stretch of beach in Vilano Beach. Just ten minutes north of historic downtown St Augustine . Close enough for a quick drive to see the sights but just far enough away to get some peace and quiet ! Beautiful beach with access right off the back of this dreamy home, enjoy amazing sunrises right off the back deck or even from the master bed ! Kick off your shoes and leave your worries behind and enjoy the peace and serenity ! The space You will have the beach cottage to yourself during your stay and it is spectacular ! Such a unique spot ! Oceanfront bedroom with views of ocean from bed . That bedroom has a Queen bed. Second bedroom has a twin bed next to another bunk bed that has two twins. House sleeps 5 people total. It is truly our pleasure to offer this home to our guests ! We are very excited to introduce the Barefoot Beach Retreat in Vilano Beach ! It is the perfect beach cottage to enjoy vacation time in our beautiful town. Close enough to all of St Augustine’s sights ... but far enough to get some peace and quiet when needed ! Beautiful quiet beach right behind this home ! We truly don’t think it could get any better !The sunrises are amazing ! If you’re considering a little beach time in our beautiful town, but don’t need a huge property ... this is the one for you! I know you won’t be disappointed ! 2br/1 ba home, sleeps 5. Please note while the inside of the house has been recently updated and we do our absolute best to make sure it is nice and clean and comfortable for our guests… there are some ‘quirks’ that come with an old beach house. It can be described as ‘shabby chic’. It is a cute little beachfront house literally ON the beach that is not heavily frequented (due to a lack of public parking in this part of the beach) . Most days you will have that little piece of beach to yourself and it is absolutely beautiful . In Summer 2022, a sea turtle laid a nest on the beach right in front of the house. At low tide you can find and enjoy the most wonderful tide pools… perfect for little kids ! If you’re coming to truly relax and enjoy , this is the house for you. If you’re looking for a brand new house with all the bells and whistles… you may be more comfortable in another property . We truly aspire for you to thoroughly enjoy your stay and if there’s anything we can do to make you more comfortable, please let me know ! Also since this is a beachfront house, we do not have control of what Mother Nature does and storms that may cause beach erosion or high tides. * New for 2023, a sea wall has been erected behind this house to prevent sand erosion underneath the home and a ground floor deck is there now as well for soaking up some sun and salty air .the house is up on a dune overlooking the beach so the sea wall doesn’t obstruct any of those beautiful ocean views . Guest access This is an oceanfront beach cottage recently renovations included bathroom and kitchen renovation, and new living room furniture. Plenty of seating for everyone to relax after a long day of sun and sea ! Beautiful gleaming wood floors, open kitchen/living room area , the house is literally steps to a gorgeous stretch of beach. Vilano Beach is popular for shark tooth hunting and amazing sunrises and sunsets ! This is the perfect location for a quiet beach getaway. Enjoy dinner ‘al fresco’ on the back deck overlooking the dolphins playing in the surf or the full moon rise. It does not get any better than this ! You will feel like you are in your own little slice of St Augustine paradise ! Other things to note No smoking please We apologize but we cannot accommodate reservations with checkouts on holidays including 4th of July, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, Easter, or Thanksgiving . Due to Mother Nature and some Nor’easter storms , there may be beach erosion. That is not something we can control. This part of the beach is very quiet and not heavily frequented . There is a public set of stairs to access the beach . This is not ‘our’ stairs but we are permitted to use it by the neighbors . We are not responsible for beach erosion in the area of the stairs. ONE small dog under 30 lbs may be permitted with prior permission, please inquire if you’re traveling with a furry family member prior to booking . Pet fee will be additional . Please make sure to inquire first before confirming a reservation if you’re traveling with a pet so we can quote you a pet fee first and make sure the dog is ok to bring. We apologize but no puppies permitted or any dogs on the restricted breed list for insurance purposes . Thanks for your consideration and cooperation ! Pets are not permitted on furniture or beds . Pets must be on flea medicine prior to arrival. Please make sure any pet you’re bringing to stay with us is well behaved and well traveled , and house broken . If evidence of pets is found on beds or furniture , or additional damage is found after guest departure , we reserve the right to charge guests’ full security deposit for additional cleaning /repair as needed. No events permitted. Parking for two cars maximum. This house is located right on A1A about one mile from Vilano Town Center, Vilano Main St and Vilano Publix. A starter pack of laundry detergent , dish soap, dish sponge and also travel size shampoo and conditioner and small bar soaps are provided in each bathroom as a convenience to guests. Due to the very busy nature of our calendar, the challenges of home maintenance in an oceanfront location and to our commitment in making sure the cleanliness of our property is of the utmost importance for our guests, we take the full time between guest stays to do property maintenance and cleaning. Late checkouts and early checkins are not a possibility . Checkout time is 10am, and checkin time is 4pm. Please plan accordingly , we thank you for your understanding.
