Welcome to our almost 100-year-old home! We are thrilled to welcome you and your companions to the Mile High City! We've included basic amenities for you to enjoy. We are well-located just 10 minutes away from downtown Denver and 1.7 miles away from one of the main highways to drive straight into the mountains for outdoor activities and incredible ski resorts during the winter! Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions and thank you for your interest in our property! Mariel & Fam We are the homeowners and we currently live on the main floor. As to be expected with older homes, sounds, creaks, footsteps, voices or laughter may be heard by all. Please note that the basement unit is not completely separated from the main house. However, you do have a separate entrance and living space so you can have privacy. The spaces that you will share with us are the patio, driveway and back yard only. The guest’s entrance to the house is located on W. Exposition Ave. You'll have a spacious driveway to park safely outside (it accommodates 2 cars). Once you enter the house, you'll see the TV room (main living room) the bathroom (which is located in this room) and the stairs going down to the basement. The space is composed by 2 rooms in the basement (one room has a queen size bed, and the other one has a comfortable bunk bed (full/twin) and a twin-size trundle bed. There is also a small "living room" area with a full-size futon couch which could accommodate 2 people in the basement, and we also provide a queen size inflatable mattress that you can set up in the main living room upstairs. A total of 11 people can fit comfortably in the rental space we provide. Each room has a TV for your comfort and each TV is hooked up with either Amazon Fire TV stick or G-Chromecast for you to enjoy your favorite streaming platforms. We also have a bigger TV in the living room in case you're planning on spending some time watching a movie. You can cook simple meals since we have accommodated a space as a kitchenette. There are basic appliances in this space such as a single electric burner, toaster oven, skillet, a small fridge with freezer, microwave and of course, a coffee maker. We provide coffee and tea to get your morning going on the right foot. The space has heating, excellent WIFI, a TV in each room and a few board games. This is a great space for a quiet weekend in Denver, for a jumping off spot into mountain adventures, for a quick jaunt to see your favorite band at Red Rocks, to embark on that brewery and distillery tour you've always dreamt of, or to go and explore the outdoor wonders that Colorado has to offer. Door next to the driveway located on W. Exposition Ave. My partner Damon is SUPER friendly and he currently works from home. So he's to be expected at the house at all times (almost) :) So, If you need anything just ask! Please feel welcome at all times, we want you to feel at home-away-from-home. You might also meet my son Diego since we live upstairs. He's 15. He's very respectful, helpful and quiet. We are happy to share recommendations for delicious food in our neighborhood, breweries around town, hiking trails, and more; or, we are happy to let you enjoy some peace and quiet! As mentioned above, the neighborhood is a very nice, clean, quiet one in the city of Denver. There are MANY local and fast-food restaurants that you could visit within walking distance, the grocery store is 6 minutes away, pharmacy 4 mins away and lots of local stores around the area. Downtown Denver is only a 10 min drive! The closest and one of the main highways to take you out into the mountains is only 1.7 miles away! And as a plus.. Chain Reaction Brewing Company is only 1 mile away from the house! (still a walkable distance) if you're coming from DIA (airport): Take Peña Blvd toward the south until you merge into I-70 Westbound. Once on West I-70, you'll merge into I-25 South; then you can either take : *West 6th Ave. and take the exit to South Federal Blvd. Once on Federal Blvd., take a left on W. Exposition Ave., you will see the crossing street : S. Canosa Ct. and our house will be the one in the left corner lot. At this point you probably drove past our driveway where you can park. ** Continue on I-25 a little bit further down the road (you will drive past 6th. Ave) until you see the exit to West Alameda Ave. Take Alameda Ave westbound and turn left on S. Canosa Ct. You will reach the crossing street of W. Exposition Ave. and the house will be to your right on the corner lot. Turn right on W. Exposition Ave. to park on the driveway. Be sure to not to leave anything of value on sight in your car. And make sure you lock your doors! NO SMOKING ALLOWED INSIDE THE HOUSE. Since we also live in the property, we kindly ask our guests to please keep any kind of tobacco, marijuana, vaping, etc. usage outdoors. We are aware that many of our guests may travel to Denver for this reason, and want you to know that our place will not be a good fit for you if you plan to smoke indoors. PETS: We consider our home "pet friendly", meaning that your furry friends are welcome to stay with us (PLEASE SEE HOUSE RULES). Please note that we do not provide pet crate, care, toys, treats, secured backyard, etc. As such, we kindly ask our guests to please DO NOT LEAVE PETS UNATTENDED AT ANY TIME (It is the guest responsibility to care for their own pets. Please take into consideration that we are providing accessories such as lamps, speakers, etc. for the guest's comfort which may be damaged by pets. If any item is missing or damaged a claim will be filed through the website). PLEASE BRING A PET CRATE: PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE BEDS, COUCHES OR FURNITURE. Please be respectful of our future guests :) PARTIES POLICY: We welcome the noise of friends and family get togethers while vacationing. Respectfully we ask that you to keep the number of people staying limited to the number indicated on the reservation, and additional visitors to only a few, as we do not allow parties in the property.
