Chalet Domaine de la Grande Ourse is THE place to watch the perseids & the Milky Way. The village of Notre-Dame-des-Bois control the lighting to make sure the sky & the gorgeous stars will always be visible. You will be charmed by *Its 100 acres land in a mountain *Its amazing view on the Mont Megantic & sunset *Its huge outdoor fireplace *Its hot tub opened all year *Its private road *Its land 🚫No Check-in/Check-out on : -Saturdays -Dec 25th & Jan 1st The space Our log cabin boasts 3 living rooms, 2 dining areas (one 3 season) 5 closed, bedrooms, 2 ensuite. ( 1 bedroom can lock a door and have private access to a WC) built on 3 floors. We offer a 25’ of deck overlooking the Mégantic valley, fireplace, fire pit and hot tub. Our beautiful cabin can host up to 14 people and is perfect for a family or a friend getaway. We offer : *A fully furnished kitchen with all you will need to cook amazing meals *3 coffee machines *A BBQ (available after May 1st-Oct 15th) *An inside fireplace to warm your evenings *An outside fire pit (May 1st-Nov 15th) *A foosball table *100 acres to explore One small dog per booking might be allowed. We will ask for more details about your dog (size) before approving. A $500 security deposit will be ask as well as a $120 extra cleaning fee + fees Guest access ✦ You will have access to the entire chalet and its outdoor spaces in complete privacy, with the exception of the storage spaces and the garage. Other things to note ⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE Our chalet is located in a new area, the roads are therefore not yet paved. We strongly recommend you to come with a 4WD car and winter tires during winter and spring although the roads and the parking lot of our chalet are professionally plowed. ⚠️ Due to the natural, wooded environment in which the chalet is located, power outages may occasionally occur, although this remains rare. These interruptions are beyond our control, and we cannot, unfortunately, be held responsible for them. The outside garage is not available for guests. *BBQ* From May 1st-Oct 15th *FIREPLACE* There is a wood fireplace at your disposal, you have to bring your own wood. Also, you must bring your own kindling and/or paper to facilitate starting. *OUTSIDE FIRE PIT* The fire pit is available from May 1st to November 15th. NO EXCEPTIONS *BATHROOMS* Please do not dispose of baby wipes, condoms, tampons, or any similar items in the toilet, as they can block the septic system and cause serious malfunctions. Improper use may result in a $1500 damage fee. Trash bins are provided in each bathroom for proper disposal. **Please note that you may see small insects during your stay, when seasons are changing, because our chalet is located in a rural environment and it is impossible for us to control all the wildlife that surrounds it** Registration Details Quebec - Registration number 311170, expires: 2026-11-02
