A path that invites tranquility and connection with nature from the first moment The cabin is located in the Mountain. From Route 40, you'll need to start climbing a mountain gravel road (1). We'll send you the location and directions to your phone to make your arrival easier. We'll meet you at the door to give you keys and give you a warm welcome. (1) The road is passable in any standard vehicle, no 4x4 is needed, even in winter. But in case of snowfall, if you need chains, they are mandatory for many of the routes in the area. We'll let you know whether it's convenient to use them or not on the day of your arrival. As for the state of the road, it has continuous maintenance, but it is still a mountain road, similar to all the dirt roads that San Martín de los Andes has off Route 40. Other things to note READ BEFORE BOOKING: Life in the mountains can be very romantic but you should also keep in mind that heating will be your responsibility, you must turn on the stove daily, and follow the steps to keep the heating system in proper operation. We will explain everything step by step and send you videos for the correct operation of the stove. The heating is by means of a modern pellet stove, the ignition is manual, but the fire supply is automatic. The stove has a top pellet refill system that you must refill every few hours to prevent the fire from going out. You will need to be present every two to three hours. IMPORTANT: In winter and extremely low temperatures, we could have freezing pipes and lack of water during the morning. To get to the cabin, the last 4 km are gravel and dirt that can be driven by any standard vehicle. In winter you may need chains in case of a heavy snowfall or snowfall at night and extreme precautions. The last stretch is somewhat steep, and in the event of a heavy snowfall it may be a little inaccessible for a day to drive with a car without 4x4 traction (this only in case of extreme snowfall). In winter, (JULY AND AUGUST) we keep our guests aware of the snowfall.
