A unique grand‑design feel on England’s longest continuous elevation road, featured in the 2014 Tour de France. From 15 May 2026, a private 2–3 person hot tub will be available. Access can be arranged ahead of your stay for £60 (short stays) or £90 (week‑long stays). You’ll be contacted before arrival to confirm and make payment. The space The space has been stylishly decorated and provides comfort, warmth and space for friends and family trips. Get cosy on the sofa and switch on the huge 65" TV with subscriptions to Netflix, BBC iPlayer and Amazon Prime. Enjoy a hot drink in front of the fire which gives a homely feel during the evening. Our property is fitted with underfloor heating on the top floor so no chilly feet, with radiators in the bedrooms. One of our favourite features is the fabulous floor‑to‑ceiling windows that bring the outside in — sit back and take in the stunning woodland and wildlife surrounding the property come rain or shine. Finished to a very high standard, the property boasts a hand‑crafted kitchen with marble worktops leading onto a beautiful open‑plan living and dining area. The property has two main bedrooms and comfortably sleeps four guests, with an additional sofa bed on the lower floor for two extra guests. The sofa bed has a proper mattress for comfort. There is also a TV and board games in this room. Please note the main stairs are narrow and the lower floor is accessed via paddle steps, so those with limited mobility, young children or dogs may find this challenging. We have a top‑of‑the‑range marble bathroom with a handmade Japanese duo deep‑soak bath — the water stays hotter for longer so you can relax in total comfort. Guests with mobility issues may find the depth of the bath/shower difficult to access. Described by one of our guests as a “grand design on a smaller scale,” our home isn’t huge, but the layout has been thoughtfully designed for comfort — we even managed to include an upstairs toilet. There are two outdoor patio areas: one leading off the main lounge, and one leading off one of the bedrooms. A private 2–3 person hot tub will be available from the 15th May, offering a peaceful spot to unwind while overlooking the woodland. It's a really small space that we have utilised but there's just enough room! You may not recognise our property from the entrance as it appears to be a single‑storey building — it’s only when you step through the large oak door that you’ll be wowed by what lies within. Guest access You will be renting the entire building for your stay. There is 1 parking space to the left of the property. It is situated at the top of Castlegate road so we ask that you park close to the fence, tucked in. There is plenty of roadside parking for additional cars just across from the property.
