Hope's Lake Cottage

This little lake cottage is the perfect, relaxing and quiet getaway for anyone with a busy life that's wanting something low key to unwind in. Located on the TN/AL border, conveniently 50min south of Nashville and 9 min off of I65! Very easy drive for a simple relaxing weekend or weekday getaway! The space This awesome, completely renovated small lake house is around 600sqft. It's the perfect spot for a low maintance couple to relax at and enjoy the beautiful views of this quiet lake. We owned this lake cottage for a couple of years before we decided to give it a complete "to the studs" 2 year renovation. We removed the interior wall that were originally splitting the house into 2 very small rooms, and removed the ceiling into the attic which gave us another 8 feet in height for a peaked roof. The original floors were sanded down and given brand new stain to bring them back to their original glory. The kitchen was then doubled in size with brand new cabinets, countertops and appliances. This little lake house is such a great, relaxing and quiet retreat after a long week of work for anyone looking to get away for a couple days. The house has not only has a queen size bed, but the leather couch pulls out to a very comfortable full sized bed as well. In all the cottage can sleep a total of 4 but we recommend only 2 for the most relaxing type of weekend. There are bicycles available at no extra cost so you can take a relaxing ride around the lake to check out the scenery and views. The house comes fully equipped with everything you need in a kitchen. There are plenty of pots, pans, grilling accessories, coffee maker, propane grill (propane included), etc. We have TONS of DVD's available to watch after a long day of sitting out on the deck. The cottage is equipped with a mobile internet hotspot at no extra cost. Please keep in mind you are in the middle of the country in a woodsy lake area, so streaming with Netflix/Hulu may lag time to time. There are also a bunch of tv and movie channels available that come free with 65" Samsung tv. However, you will have no issues with cell phone service. However, no pets of any kind at the lake house - no exceptions. We highly recommend you sit on our deck and grill out, build a fire, take a long walk or bike ride around the lake and enjoy all the beautiful views this quiet lake has to offer. However, please remember not to wander on other people's property. As well, fishing and boating are also only allowed to the homeowners of the lake. We also own the house next door!
