Peaceful isolation surrounds this classic loft style cabin, yet our guests also have all of Graves Mountain Farm & Lodges facilities nearby - farm to table restaurant, Market-Deli, seasonal pool, seasonal events, live music on Friday - open mic night by the fire, bluegrass - Appalachian on Saturday. Cozy Log Cabin Airbnb next to Shenandoah National Park and the Blue Ridge Mountains Sleeps 5 - 1 queen bedroom loft, 1 double bed pull-out sofa, 1 chair twin size pull-out. Dog Friendly - max two dogs, additional fees per stay - $35 per stay per dog Horse Friendly - $30 per day per stall, must muck-out into muck buckets and clean any hotwire area. Hay bales available through the Farm. Joanie, the Pet Black Cow is Your Mascot Our pet cow, Joanie, reared by Zoe and Missy Graves, lives just over the fence and is eager to visit. She is skilled at hopping over our cattle guards. She may greet you and is keen on cookies. Just give us a call and we will introduce you formally. She is partial to front porches - for the view. She's a big girl so just keep a little distance in case she turns faster than you. I give my guests space but am available when needed We are the Graves Family. We've been farming this land - the valley and mountain slopes - since 1740. We farm primarily apple orchards with some cattle, goats and hay making meadows. You'll see it all but let us know if you fancy a farm tour. We are a family of six. Rachel and Jimmy are the Mom and Dad. You'll meet them down the road at our inn and family style southern restaurant, three meals a day for all our guests - along with the hikers, horse campers, fly fisher folk, and our farm team. We're the Kids - Lynn, Lucky and our wives Tricia and Missy. You'll likely see us down at the restaurant lodge. We are frequently there with our team for meals - and joking with Margie and Margaret who run the Southern cooking kitchen stoves and bakeshop. Just stop by and we'll fix you up with your next adventure here in our Blue ridge rural retreat. That is what we all about - the outdoors. We have: - two stocked trout streams - the Rose and Robinson - both on the farm - and the Rapidan is a short drive - a bass pond - a stocked trout pond - horseback riding with the stable on the farm - hiking along our ten miles of home farm trails and a hundred miles in Shenandoah Park - 7 miles drive away up the Robinson River - rock climbing on the ridge - naturalist hikes - please give ample notice - fly fishing clinics, guides and private coaching - please give ample notice - hay rides through the farm - swimming in the Olympic size main lodge pool, open Memorial Day through Labor Day - road biking on short trips or a 100 mile back roads tour - mountain biking on abandoned forest roads - wine tour to four wineries within 30 mins and one just 10 mins - five brew pubs within 35 mins - bon fires nightly with s'mores - sing-alongs on Fri and Sat nights - apple harvest in the autumn - Bluegrass music festival at the beginning of June - chef based restaurants in Culpeper (24 miles) You will need a car.
