Spend some time at the tranquil location of our off-grid homesteading project and enjoy a bit of the simple life, close to nature. The space Welcome to our home — an off-grid homesteading project where we practice gardening, natural building, upcycling, creativity, and simple living. What we offer you is a safari-style tent with a simple double-bed, built-in light, and a 220v power socket. During your stay, you'll have the use of a compost toilet and outdoor shower (hot or cold), as well as a shared outdoor kitchen and chill area. Guest access Guests have access to the parking area, their own private tent, shared outdoor kitchen, fire circle, compost toilet, safari-style outdoor shower, or a hot gas shower under the stars. Other things to note The property is a designated "sober zone". Kindly refrain from using alcohol or any other intoxicants on the property, but rather venture out for a drink at a restaurant or pub if needed. The camp is also a non-smoking area. Animals: - We have two dogs at the property. They are wonderful companions and very friendly with people, but one of them doesn't get along with other dogs, so dog guests are unfortunately not allowed. Electricity: - Please take note that the property is off-grid, and we only use solar power here. Phones, laptops, and other electronics or low-power devices are supported, but high-wattage appliances like hair dryers are not supported. The showers: - The shower right at your camp is a safari-style bucket shower; you'll heat the water for your shower or we can assist you with it, and the bucket is hoisted up with a rope system for a pleasant hot shower outdoors. - Or, use our other available gas-powered shower. Garden: - We are attempting to set up nice vegetable beds and to grow fruit trees all around the property. Feel free to take a walk in the garden, and help yourself to berries or fruit you may find. Fridge and laundry: - While there is no fridge at the camp kitchen, you can keep a few items in our home fridge during your stay if you like. - We can run the laundry machine for you if needed.
