The Cosy Cottage in the heart of Karen

Situated in the heart of Karen; this cosy cottage is nestled in our garden overlooked by a forest, with diverse birdlife. Ideal for solo travellers, couples or business travellers. The property is located approximately 1.5km from the Hub Mall and Karen centre, with plenty of shops and restaurants for your convenience. Close to tourist attractions, with easy access to the airports. Local to us 30 mins: Sheldrick Trust Elephant Orphanage 30 mins: Nairobi National Park 20 mins: Giraffe Centre The space Our cottage is a comfortable open plan style living space, with a separate kitchen and dining nook. There is a relaxing outdoor covered sitting area, where you can enjoy views over the garden. It has its own private entrance and side access. Next to the cottage is my office - which I only occasionally use while guests are staying. There is a comfortable king size bed with an ensuite shower room. Within this open plan space is a comfy lounge area. The small dining nook can double up as a workspace. WiFi is included. Our kitchenette has all the essentials to make your stay comfortable. which includes a 2x gas burner stove, induction cook-top, microwave, crockery, cutlery, a small fridge, kettle, and toaster. The covered verandah has a comfortable sofa overlooking the garden, which is shared with our dogs, cat and chickens. For those who wish to soak up the wildlife and history spots close by (NB: Approximate times - depending on traffic): 30 mins to Sheldrick Trust Nairobi Nursery, Elephant Orphanage 30 mins to Nairobi National Park 20 mins to Giraffe Centre 12 mins to Karen Blixen Museum Please note the following: We do not allow additional guests to stay that are not part of the booking. No loud music, our garden is our sanctuary, the singing birds are to be enjoyed. This is a non smoking accommodation. Thank you. Guest access Guests have a private access to the space. Car parking on site. Other things to note We have 3 dogs on the property who are friendly, although may bark to say hello. If you or your partner are fearful of dogs then this is probably not the right property for you! We live on the property and are surrounded by residential homes and therefore request people to be quiet between 10pm and 8am. No parties, no late-night music. Only people on the booking will be admitted, no additional guests or visitors are allowed.
