Located just 15 mins from Bacchus Marsh, the Wombat Creek Cottage is enveloped by picturesque bushland adjacent to Lerderderg National Park. The 2BRM cottage has all the creature comforts needed for a country escape, woodfire, country air & bushlands, friendly animals, and cooking facilities all within the self-contained cottage. Located just 15 mins from Bacchus Marsh, the Wombat Creek Cottage is located on Anne & Mark's 73 acres of picturesque bushland, enveloped by the Lerderderg National Park. Plenty of Bush Walking opportunities surround the area. The fully self-contained cottage features 2 bedrooms (1 double, 2 x single beds) and has all the creature comforts you will need for a country escape including woodfire, dining area, full kitchen, full bathroom and wifi/netflix should you feel you still need to be connected! What to do: Whilst you’re here, you will enjoy waking up to the birds and being completely surrounded by bushland so you can forest bathe until your heart is content! Relax in the Cottage, or head out for a bush walk either on the property or in nearby national parks (most popular ones nearby are Lerderderg National Park and Wombat State Forests) We want you to feel right at home on the property, so that includes helping yourself to our freshly grown produce as well as visiting our pets around the property which include Alpaca's, a goat, two miniature donkeys, Fergus and Stormcloud, and Spike, chickens, guinea fowl, peacocks and two very friendly dogs. A Maremma named Khaleesi and Border Collie Llewe. Pets are not permitted. Upon request, we’d also be happy to share our woodfire pizza oven and pool. To eat: For breakfast, we will leave some homemade bread and fresh eggs from the farm. Should you want to head out, the property is located just 15 mins from Bacchus Marsh, 20 mins from Gisborne, 45 mins from Daylesford, and 1 hour from Melbourne. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook, so feel free to bring your own food as well. The Cottage also has a BBQ just outside. Expect to leave calmer and more at peace than before you arrived as the country air will do that to you! We hope to welcome you soon at our peaceful and cosy secluded country retreat.
