Starlit outdoor cinema & hot tub – Helio Homestead
Description
Welcome to Helio Homestead — an original and artful 1950’s “Jackrabbit Homestead” entirely designer-renovated on 5 secluded acres just 10 minutes from Downtown Joshua Tree and 15 minutes from the west entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. The dreamy exterior includes an outdoor cinema, electric jacuzzi, BBQ griddle, and desert vegetation of Joshua trees, towering ocotillos, and cacti gardens to ground the endless desert and mountain views. The space You enter through the sunroom with windows on all sides to take in views of Mt. Nebo. Next, enter the cozy living room and sit on a velvet couch or a velveteen rabbit chair as you glimpse the light from the wood-burning fireplace and the retro chandelier. The open plan living room gives way to a yellow subway-tiled fully-stocked kitchen with an 8-person dining table and separate kitchen nook dinette to seat an additional 4. After swinging past the saloon doors and past the new washer and dryer, a full bathroom with a clawfoot tub and rain shower head awaits for soaking, relaxing, and taking in views of the yuccas and Joshua Trees from the window. The main bedroom includes cozy hardwood flooring and wood-beamed ceiling, walk-in closet, French doors with a view, and a projector with Sonos speakers for watching a movie in bed. An outdoor courtyard with lounge chairs, picnic table, electric cedar hot tub, and outdoor cinema twinkling with string lights separates the main house from the detached guest house. The detached guest house includes a private entrance to a whimsical bedroom featuring a gallery wall of art, a private workspace with desk and refrigerator, and its own bathroom with shower. Split A/Cs keep all spaces comfortable no matter the season. Remote work accommodations: To work remotely, you'll find a large, built-in wraparound work desk decked out with LED lights and a permanent monitor with HDMI accessibility, a wireless printer, a Steinway piano, and wifi speeds of 15MB download / 10MB upload (the fastest one can get in this area). A second dedicated workspace with desk and refrigerator is located in the detached guest house. Sleeping accommodations: There are three bedrooms. The soft-hued main bedroom has a queen-sized bed and projector screen with Sonos speakers. The guest suite bedroom includes a queen-sized bed, Roku TV, and private workspace with desk and mini-fridge. The third room is our sunroom and can accommodate up to two more guests on the L-shaped lounge area comprised of two twin daybeds and one full daybed. Kitchen/coffee accommodations: Our fully-stocked kitchen is a haven for foodies. We have a wide array of cookware and kitchen gadgets, including quality pots, pans, knives, a kitchen aid with pasta-making attachments, an Instant Pot, a pantry stocked with various staple items from smores fixings to local honey, and an assortment of spices. We've curated a collection of coffee-making devices alongside locally-roasted beans. We offer a Breville Precision Brewer for drip coffee, a Breville Smart Grinder to grind fresh beans, various-sized Bialetti to savor an Italian mocha, a ceramic Hario V60 incl. special filters and scale to dive into the world of precision pour-over coffee, and a Turkish coffee pot perfect for unfiltered stove top brewing. And for those who need a quick caffeine fix, our Nespresso machine, with both espresso and lungo pods, will quickly satisfy your cravings. Guest access To reach the property, you have to drive 1 mile down a dirt road that all cars can traverse, albeit slowly. You will receive a unique code to unlock the smart-lock-enabled doors. This is the only home on the property, so the entire place is yours alone. One acre of the property is fully fenced-in, but remember, this is a wild desert with wild animals like snakes and hawks that know no fence boundary. Feel free to explore the entire 5 acres or continue on to hike Mt. Nebo. Registration Details CESTRP-2022-01489
