Lovely Sicilian-style villa with pool and sea view, only 3 Km from great beaches, 7 Km from enchanting Scicli, 6 Km from Donnalucata, and 7 Km from Marina di Ragusa The space Sicilian countryside, beaches, and culture This spacious villa, entirely rebuilt in 2018 over a century-old country house, lies on a beautiful hill , and enjoys a spectacular view of the ocean and the Sicilian countryside at the same time. Nested between vineyards and olive trees, this spacious residence offers a peaceful and quiet environment. A five minutes’ drive west will take you to the sandy beaches of Playa Grande, Donnalucata, and the Irminio natural sanctuary. A few minutes in the opposite direction will take you to the breathtaking architectural and natural attraction of Scicli. Comfort and tradition We have built this 180 sqm house for maximum comfort, but in the full respect of the Sicilian tradition. The original open stone walls have been preserved to safeguard the authentic Sicilian look-and-feel, and the new roof and floor also follow the local tradition. Ragusan-style dry stone walls have been built to frame a 90 sqm terrace, which is ideal for outdoor dining and living. The terrace dominates the pool area and a mezzanine BBQ area in the shade of an almond tree. The house has 3 spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and walk-in closet. At the heart of the ancient part of the house, a welcoming living room and a fully equipped kitchen (gas stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, large refrigerator with ice maker) ensure indoor comfort is available when needed. The large living area with original exposed stone walls next to the kitchen has direct access to the veranda through large, light-living windows, and is perfect for indoor relax. One of the couches is a double sofa-bed. Every room in the house has its own air conditioner, and WIFI Internet and TV are available. Style, comfort, and modernity are blended for your enjoyment of this area. Activities for everyone This area is uniquely located to easily alternate restful hours on one of the many beautiful beaches nearby, and the baroque treasures of Scicli, Modica, and Ragusa. If you feel like driving a little further, you can visit Syracuse, and if you are in the mood for a hike you can venture down the Avola lakes trail, or through the gorgeous Pantalica archeological site. The Irminio valley is also a bikers’ favourite around here.
