8-person gîte, view of the Pyrenees, outdoor pool

On the border between Aude and Ariège, Carcassonne and Mirepoix, in a natural environment, you can enjoy a 1.5 h, in peace and quiet. Here are plenty of walks to be had around the gîte, and if you enjoy hiking or cycling, this is the ideal place, with its footpaths and the "voie verte" ! Mirepoix, Carcassonne, Fanjeaux, Chalabre, Camon, the Cathar castles are close. To diversify your activities, the sea is just 1h20 away and ski resorts are only 1h away. The space Le Piedestal comprises a ground-floor entrance with a small hall leading to a separate, fully-equipped kitchen. From the kitchen you have access to the terrace, where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast! From the small hall you can also access the living room, which has a large sofa with a large TV for watching a film with friends or family, and a wood-burning stove (wood provided). Still on the ground floor, there is a separate WC, a separate bathroom (bath, double basin) and a first bedroom with a 180x200cm king-size bed. Upstairs, a bedroom with two 90x200cm beds, a third and fourth bedroom with a 160x200cm bed. A separate shower room with double basin and WC. Bed linen, towels and table linen provided. Cleaning is extra. To ensure total disconnection, there is no WIFI, but the 4G network is accessible throughout the estate. Pets are accepted only on REQUEST from the owner. Breakfast delivered every morning is optional and must be requested the day before. Meals delivered for lunch or dinner are also optional and must be requested 48 hours in advance (except during the summer period). Baby equipment available on request. Guest access On site, a swimming pool shared with three other 2-person gîtes is available for you to cool off in, where peace and quiet are the order of the day (dimensions: 6 x4 m excluding stairs, salt swimming pool). The large shared outdoor area allows you to enjoy unique moments: watching the sun rise or set on deckchairs, soaking up the southern sun or simply relaxing with a book or a cocktail! The gîte has a private terrace with garden furniture and a private area in the garden and a large round table to enjoy moments of conviviality in the fresh air. A “charcoal” barbecue is at your disposal (except by prefectural order prohibiting fires in the forest). A second Weber electric barbecue will also give you the pleasure of cooking outside on sunny days. You can park your car easily on the estate, and there is also a garage for storing bicycles. On site, the estate has a petanque court (with 4 sets of boules) and a badminton net (with rackets and shuttlecocks) available for free use. Other things to note On request, a meal (lunch and/or evening) can be reserved and delivered to your gîte (reservation 48 hours in advance).
