Relax and enjoy breathtaking views of the Tiber Valley from Verdealloggio, a charming country house ground floor apartment with private garden, patio & shared pool. Strategically located near Lazio and Tuscany this is a peaceful base for many exciting trips to cities like Rome, Perugia, Norcia, Assisi, Orvieto, the seaside or lakes! If your aim is to be in nature, you may treat yourself locally to horseback riding and painting courses, vineyard visits and walks or bike rides in the countryside. The space Built in the early nineteenth century and set in six hectares of green grounds, this secluded house is only an eight minute walk from a small medieval village called Giove and its ducal castle. The country house is divided into two apartments with two separate entries. This listing would allow you to rent the ground floor apartment, private garden and patio. You will share the adjacent garden where the children play area is and the pool with the guests (if any) in the apartment on the top floor. There are two mountain bikes available at the property, a table tennis table and a swing in case you have children. The spacious, private garden (as well as the shared parts of it) is perfect for children to play and run in safety. There's a private garden and patio with a dining table and a bbq grill in front of the apartment's entrance. As soon as you enter, you will find the open plan kitchen and dining room with an authentic brick oven. The apartment has one master bedroom, one bedroom with a sofa bed and a bathroom. Please note one has to go through the bedroom with the sofa bed to get to the master bedroom. See floor plan in the images. Please bear in mind this is a country house, therefore there might be ants racing to steal your breadcrumbs or bees enjoying their flower nectar in the garden as well as mosquitos in the summer! For city lovers not used to this side of nature, we'll provide natural and useful tips on how to avoid being bothered by them! Guest access Closest airports: Rome Ciampino, Perugia S. Egidio (1hr 15mins by car) and Rome Fiumicino (1hr 30mins by car) Nearest train station: Attigliano Bomarzo (6km - 10 mins away by car) or Orte (25mins away by car) It is essential to rent a car and we highly recommend it. rentalcars.com is a trustworthy website, they also offer casco insurance at a reasonable price. Please note only credit cards are usually accepted. The road leading to the property is steep but asphalted. You will be parking in the garden, on the grass in gated private grounds. Other things to note Free extras There are two free mountain bikes available at the property, a children’s swing and a table tennis table. Wifi The wifi internet is via ADSL and like any countryside service, can be intermittent. Pool The out of ground pool (length:11m width:4m depth:1,3m) is only a few meters away from the property and is open from June to September. Outside these dates, the pool can be opened on request for an extra charge. Washing Machine, Dishwasher and Freezer Please note there are no dishwashers, freezers or washing machines in the apartment. Your hosts will take care of your clothes by washing them upon request, free of charge. A freezer is available in the main building should you need to use it. Heating There is central heating in the house but your apartment will have its own thermostat. Please note liquid gas is very expensive in Italy so if a guest requests it to be turned on there will be an additional charge which will be based on the metre reading (on average it's 100 euros/week). Fans There is no air-conditioning in the house but fans are readily available. Baby A complimentary travel cot and a high chair are available upon request.
