This three-story farmhouse sits on one of the highest points in Mount Airy, MD with views of both the sunrise and the sunset. With an open kitchen plan, large family room, and beds to sleep 9, it’s a perfect place to gather family together for the holidays. Unwind, unplug, and connect with your loved ones in this beautiful farm setting. The space The delightful farmhouse boasts 360 degree views of rolling pastures, sprawling treelines, and open skies. Far enough removed from the suburbs to escape light pollution, a quiet walk on a clear night will reward visitors with star-filled skies. Cozy couches and wing backed chairs foster family fun in front of the warm glow of the gas fireplace. The open kitchen is a wonderful place for a family meal. Climb the spiral staircase to the second floor or come up the back stairs from the kitchen. The Master Bedroom or "Sunset Room" has a king bed and a brand new bathroom with heated tiles and a pebble shower floor. The "Honeybee Room" offers a queen bed and full bath with heated floors. Wind around through the laundry room and you will find the stairs climbing to the third floor where two rooms of bunk beds provide accomodations for 5 more. The "Storybook Room" with its antique trunk in the window seat has a full bottom bunk under a twin top bunk. A "CordaRoy" beanbag converts from a comfy chair into a full mattress for an extra guest on the floor. Finally, the "Wildflower Room" has a twin bunk and a single bed tucked into the last bedroom with some of the best views of the house. Come unplug from busy life and reconnect with family & friends. Guest access Guests will have access to the full house except for locked basement and locked storage closet. Guests are welcome to walk the perimeter of the property and visit the two cows in the pastureland. Other things to note We are a working farm so, though we are off the beaten path and away from the noises of the city, the natural noises of farm animals and farmwork are a part of the ambiance. Our fields are rented to a local farmer for hay so, depending on the weather, he may be mowing or baling hay during the day. Our two friendly cows are pastured nearby and we need to come up to work in the barns or water the cows. We will leave you to your privacy but will be passing by the house to access the barns and fields. Please park in the circle in front of the house so we can get by with our tractor or truck. We offer you a chance to unplug from wifi, but cell coverage is good so if there is a need to connect, bring your hotspot and you can check in with the internet.
