Designed for modern, clutter-free comfort, the cabin encourages relaxation while providing everything needed for remote work, including three spacious desk areas. Enjoy the fully fenced backyard and wood-burning fireplace, or explore National Forest bike and hiking trails just around the corner. Dogs and kiddos welcome. The space Newly renovated with an environmentally friendly focus, Sage Leaf Cabin is the ideal home for the ski season and beyond (scroll down for distances to area ski resorts). A true four-season getaway, the cabin is a 3-minute walk to renowned hiking and mountain bike trails (Corral area) and minutes from Tahoe Paradise and Lake Tahoe golf courses. Located off Pioneer Trail, it's an easy drive to Lake Tahoe beaches, restaurants and nightlife. Surrounded by natural beauty, we kept things simple inside, thoughtfully blending Scandinavian design with some favorite mid-century and modern finds. For guests' comfort, cleaning products and soaps are unscented, and towels and bedding are organic and/or OEKO-TEX certified. Pillows are filled with natural materials (wool, latex or kapok, a hypoallergenic alternative to down). The home has forced-air heating with a Nest thermostat and a vented wood-burning fireplace. Kindling and seasoned wood are provided. Sage Leaf Cabin is available for a winter ski lease, with a 4-month minimum preferred, and at other times of the year; a 28-day minimum is required (county rules). Here's what to expect when you walk in the door: Living Room/Great Room - High ceilings and huge windows on three sides create a feel of indoor-outdoor living. - A sunny reading nook and vintage Danish desk offer space to work in the main room. - 50″ 4K UHD TV with Roku built in, Tivoli Model One radio with Bluetooth, separate portable Bluetooth speaker. Remote Working - Fast wifi. Desks in each bedroom and great room, plus a 27″ monitor, keyboard, mouse and USB hub to attach it all to your laptop. - Two Herman Miller Setu chairs for ergonomic comfort. Kitchen & Dining - Wake up to locally roasted coffee, a selection of black and herbal teas and local honey. Pantry staples include good olive oil, balsamic vinegar and organic spices. - Heath Ceramics dining set and bowls are mixed with vintage pottery. Primary Bedroom - King-size bed features a Sonoma Wool Company comforter and the option of linen, flannel or cotton sheets, all from Portugal. - Blu Dot desk in small alcove offers a private workspace. - Sliding glass doors lead to a private side deck. Second Bedroom - Two twin x-large beds (convert to king) with Pendleton wool blankets and Garnet Hill comforters. - Custom closets, one of which conceals a large built-in desk and shelves with children's books and art supplies. Mudroom - Spacious closet for outerwear. - Wall-mounted ski rack that can also be used for hanging backpacks and other gear. Laundry - Seventh Generation free-and-clear detergent is provided, along with wool dryer balls and other accessories. For the Dog - Stainless steel dog bowls and tasty treats. *** Distance to area ski resorts: Heavenly (7 miles), Sierra-at-Tahoe (11 miles), Kirkwood (29 miles), Palisades Tahoe (39 miles). Tube Tahoe (family sledding) is just a mile away. Guest access Guests have full access to the house and multiple indoor storage areas, including a large walk-in closet in the primary bedroom and a mudroom with a ski rack and coat closet. Access to an outdoor locked storage shed is available upon request. Other things to note Our family lives less than 2 miles away and can provide seasonal outdoor recommendations (one family member is a backcountry photographer). We contract with a local company for driveway snow removal.
