We are conveniently located between three major ski resorts, Stowe Mountain Resort, 30 miles which is about a 48 minute drive, Smugglers Notch Resort, 29 miles and a 37 minute drive or Jay Peak Resort, 24 miles, about a 35 minute drive. There’s even an indoor water park that’s year round located at Jay Peak where you can play on the many water slides or grab an inner-tube and float around the lazy river. There’s even a general store close by in Eden or shop at larger stores in Johnson or Morrisville. Rent a snowmobile or bring your own to ride the endless trails right outside your doorstep. Of course, no visit to Vermont is complete without a stop at the famous Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream factory in Stowe! Take a tour of regional tourist spots including Cabot Farms Creamery, Boyden Farms, and Maple Grove Farms. Nearby Mount Norris is a family friendly hike featuring spectacular views of Lake Eden and is less than three miles from the house. Vermont’s Long Trail which runs the length of the state passes within several miles of Lake Eden. There are plenty of beautiful drives and bicycle routes throughout the region, including several covered bridges. The house is within a short ride from great food and some of the best breweries Vermont has to offer. The closest restaurant with great food is called "The Snake & Apple" about three miles down the road. Lost Nation Brewery is about a 25 minute drive from the house. Then there's Boyden Winery in Jeffersonville and Smugglers Notch Distillery. The Burger Barn is a great place to eat in the same area. Black Diamond Barbecue in Morrisville is an excellent place to go if you’re hungry for bbq and only a 25 minute drive from the house. Other relaxing activities include a local horseback ride at Lajoie Farms. Or just grab a cup of coffee and walk down the quiet dirt road that the house is located along the lake. This is Vermont at it's finest. Ideal for one or two families or several couples. Mountain biking Cady Hill Forest - Mountain Biking Cady Hill Forest is located right in the heart of Stowe Village and offers 11 miles of multi-use trails offering a combination of machine-built and old school singletrack. Hiking Trails Mount Norris Mount Norris is a 3.8 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Eden Mills, Vermont that offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as moderate.
