In Town for a Convention? Our place is approximately 4 miles from the convention center and the downtown Riverwalk. We have two units under the same roof. Couples traveling together have their own space, yet they can meet on our spacious deck. This unit, San Jose Gem on the River, and San Juan Gem on the River, each comfortably accommodates a couple. Look them up on Airbnb. A designated parking spot in a secured, gated area for peace of mind. Wi-Fi is available. Quiet place The space Part of a 100-year-old fourplex that is under construction. It may not look pretty from the outside, but inside our units are fairly new with all the amenities you need. The Mission San Jose unit is located on the banks of the San Antonio River three miles south of downtown and in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The unit is on the second level of the home and has its own private entrance and deck. To access your unit, you climb several steps. The wood door will be located on the right-hand side. Once you are through the door you will climb 18 steps to your unit. The beauty of this unit is that you have a nice view of the riverbank from your private deck. Guests will be happy to know our beds and pillows each have dust mite, bedbug and allergen covers for protection. Rooms have an excellent air-conditioning/heat unit that can be controlled by our guest. The kitchen area has a full-size fridge, Keurig, microwave and a hot plate can be provided upon request. Pots and pans provided upon request as well. It is only four miles from the Alamo and three and a half miles from Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and the downtown area. This unit is on the main bus line providing visitors the convenience of transportation without parking worries when heading into town. If you have your own vehicle, we have one designated parking slot per unit located in a secured gated area on the premises. Additional slots if available, are $10 per night. The unit is also, located within a five-mile radius of all five UNESCO World Heritage Missions/US National Park. San Antonio Missions National Historical Park (U.S. National Park Service) is a National Park Service site and the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in Texas. If you are coming in for a Military graduation, Lackland Airforce Base is approximately 14 miles from our home. If you are active or retired military, we offer a discount. Just reach out to us. Coming in for a UTSA Football Game, our place is approximately four miles from the Alamodome. For the sports enthusiasts Mission San Jose unit is located half a block from Riverside Golf course (Currently closed for renovations) and the Mission reach biking and hiking trails. The trails also provide the nature lover a grand view of lots of river wildlife. This unit has a great view of the San Antonio Riverbanks which can be seen from the private deck just outside your door. The deck allows you to enjoy spectacular morning sunrises or evening sunsets with your beverage of choice. This gem will provide you with all that you need while in our beautiful city -old world charm with modern day conveniences. Side note, the last unit at our place is being remodeled so there may be some outside dust, construction equipment on the premises. Contractors on only onsite Monday- Friday. Added note the neighbor on the eastside does have a distressed look to his place which makes for interesting conversation. Guest access Access code to the property will be provided on day of check-in. The unit is not shared with anyone other than the ones in your party. Other things to note Must climb 18 steps to reach the unit. Our units do not have a kitchen for cooking. It comes with the following a microwave, Keurig, and fridge.
