It borders thousands of acres of Catskill Park Preserve & offers access to hiking trails, trolley tours, swimming holes, waterfalls, lakes, & skiing. Minutes to Tannersville & Hunter Mt and a short drive to Woodstock, there is an abundance of shops and restaurants nearby. The space This is a perfect retreat home. It's a turn of the century house with hardwood floors throughout as well as a tiled kitchen and bathrooms. It has many windows facing south for passive solar light and heat, and beautiful views of the mountains. There's a gas fired Vermont Castings stove for chilly nights and wonderful ambiance. There is unique art on the walls, and great books to read. There are 2 stereo systems, the downstairs one is hooked up to the TV for surround sound. There are CD's there, but feel to bring your own music. There is a 20x30' south facing deck which has a beautiful view and gets all day sun. There's a 1/4 acre yard bordering a NYS wetlands preserve with tons of birds and other wildlife and a short walk to amazing hiking trails and Plattekill Falls with a 61 foot waterfall. This house sits at an elevation of 2000 ft and is situated in a pristine valley. Tour the area on the Kaaterskill Trolley! Guest access Guests have access to the entire house, deck and yard. Guests enter the house from the back deck. Walk up the steps and enter using the sliding glass doors on the deck. Other things to note There are bears, coyotes and other wildlife in the area. You may have an eagle sighting and because of the local wetlands, this area attracts many different species of birds.
