It's not uncommon to find a koala dozing in the tree or a kangaroo loose in the top paddock. Enjoy the remarkable coastline, lush greenery and the occasional dairy cow framed by the expansive windows and architectural design of this remarkable stay. This building has received national and international recognition for its unique take on small scale design. The space The Cutting showcases exemplary attention to detail, incorporating unexpected materials, spaces and surfaces. An exploration of maximum volume with a minimum footprint - the space offers bright and spacious living and dining areas with woodfire heating and a luxurious bluestone bathroom. The dreamy upstairs floor has all the requirements for your reading, studying, and resting. Featuring a light filled workspace overlooking the living area and a cosy private bedroom space with hanging storage and drawers so you can really settle in to life in space. Guest access The whole house is yours to enjoy during your stay. Access is via a private road, where the house rests on the slopes from the Tower Hill Volcano down to where the wetlands open and meet the sea - known by locals as ‘the cutting.’ Other things to note Please conserve the water and be respectful to the environment. Guests are welcome to enjoy all the books, board games and art objects but please return everything for the next guests to enjoy.
