Description
Located a four minute drive from Ingleton, Bridleways Cottage is the perfect, peaceful base from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales and walk the three peaks. Spend your days walking, cycling and exploring, even visiting the nearby Lake District. A 5 minute walk takes you to a fantastic local pub and a further 15 takes you to the famous Ingleton waterfalls Trail. Spend your evening relaxing after a long walk next to the log burner or visit nearby Kirkby Lonsdale for more restaurants/ pubs. The space On arrival, please park in the designated spot for Bridleways Cottage. This requires you to drive up a narrow drive and across the neighbour’s driveway. Please do not park more than one car here (a second car can park on the lane) and please ensure you park within the lines of the designated spot, parallel to the hedge, and do not block the gate. From there you enter the rear of the property through metal gates, and using the lock box code you will be able to unlock the doors into the kitchen. The kitchen also contains a small dining table and chairs, perfect for eating breakfast or lunch at. From there a corridor connects the kitchen to the downstairs bathroom, containing a washing machine and the living / dining room. The living room contains a log burner and two sofas, with a collection of books and board games, along with a TV with access to an Amazon Prime Video account, hidden within a cupboard on the wall. At the other end there is the dining room with a large dining table that can seat 6, perfect for evening meals or entertaining guests. You can also access the front porch and front garden from here. In the corner of the living room is a door to the stairs, please do try and keep this shut so dogs remain downstairs. Upstairs you will find two king size bedrooms, one of which can be made up as two singles if required. There is also a shared bathroom, complete with bath and overhead shower. Finally, the outside space is made up of a small front garden and an enclosed back garden. The back garden is tiered and contains mature borders, as well as a small pond and a patio area at the back. Due to the uneven nature of the ground, children should be supervised and the elderly or less able should take extra care. There is also a locked shed in the garden where we keep the BBQ and garden furniture in the winter. Please feel free to use but do please clean and put away again after use. If you are bringing bikes you can also store them here. Our neighbour has right of access across the garden to take out his bins once a week. Other things to note Please note the property has one parking space on a shared drive (clearly signed). Please ensure you park within the lines of the designated space, and any other vehicles will need to park on the lane (it’s very quiet and there are always plenty of spaces). The driveway is very narrow so you will need to reverse out. Please also note we accept a maximum of two pets, but will consider others on request, subject to an additional charge.
