Gammstugan

Gammstugan is one of Kittelfjäll's oldest houses, built in the late 1800's. It's an incredibly cozy house. Busy timber walls and wide, old floor planks. Slanted and crooked but with great charm. 8 possible beds + travel cot. The house has Ski-in location from Konsumravinen. 100 meters to grocery store. 900 meters to lift (often good to go there on the ski trail) Newly built Wood-fired sauna is in the yard. The guest cleans the cottage before departure. The space An old house with a lot of charm and a good location in Kittelfjäll. The house has a long history and has previously served as a home, school, shop, post office, police station and telephone exchange. You'll love the old house if you: - appreciate the old, nutty and charming opertfect that is only found in old houses with a lot of history. - You think it's ok to wear socks in the house. - is ok with it not being clinically clean and perfect. - is ok with everyone not being able to shower at the same time if you are many. (Due to a smaller water heater) Downstairs: - Groventre and hall. - Spacious living/dining area with fireplace. Wood is available. The sofa can be made into 2 beds. - Recently renovated, small bathroom. - Good equipped kitchen with dish washer. - Small room adjacent to the kitchen with bunk bed, 80 cm wide beds. The room is drawn for with cloth draping. - Steep staircase upstairs with floor mattress/sleeping area above stairs. - Larger room upstairs that accommodates 2 double beds, which are 160 cm wide. - Upstairs there is a sofa, armchairs and TV. Travel crib and high chair are available to borrow. Wilderness grill/Hanging fireplace is available to borrow. There are books, crafts and board games to borrow for cozy evenings in front of the fireplace. Wood-fired sauna in the yard. Guest access The house is a semi-detached house and the plot boundary goes through the house. You can use the plot around the part of the house that is rented out. We only want snowmobiles to be driven on the driveway. Firewood is picked up from storage on the plot. Other things to note Bed linens and towels are brought by the tenant. (May be available for rent - in this case, contact the landlord for availability) The guest cleans the cottage before check-out.
