The town of Dorking is a 5 minute drive, with restaurants, traditional pubs and a great wine bar, or Brockham village also 5 minutes drive away, with its country pubs set around the village green, small shops and a beautiful church. The barn is a bright and airy open studio style space, with beautiful oak beams and a freestanding double slipper bath for two. A baroque privacy screen to protect your modesty. This peaceful property with large double bed, luxury silky soft white Egyptian Cotton bed linen, sumptuous duvet and luxurious pillows, bode for a goodnight’s sleep. There is a separate toilet with washbasin and storage drawers for your belongings. The barn comes with its own private garden, it’s the Herb Garden, where meals and drinks can be enjoyed: Room Service and alfresco dining can be ordered from 6th August - 30th June. The drop leaf table and chairs can be used for meals/study. The comfortable chairs are perfect for a cosy hot drink and a good book (complimentary tea, coffee and a jar of cookies). Useful hanging hooks for coats and hanging items, boot and shoe mat. (We do ask that shoes are removed at the door and left on the mat.). Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). This idyllic peaceful barn is set within six acres of private land behind wooden gates. It’s separate from the main house, so guests have total privacy. The barn is accessed by a solid oak staircase with views across the east facing fields, perfect for uninterrupted sunrise viewing. Bookings can be made for a private sunrise premium Ruby service - champagne breakfast out in the paddock, or in your private Herb Garden. Room service and alfresco dining can be ordered; breakfast, lunch, evening meals and picnics (The Ruby Supper Club menus available once booked) Please note that all meals are on 48 hours pre book and some menus like Champagne Breakfast and Afternoon Tea, Picnic etc are 1 week in advance - please check availability. Other things to note STRICTLY NO SMOKING /VAPING inside the room. The grounds for the months of June, July and August plus the first two weeks of September in the warmer weather are exceptionally dry. It is a no smoking zone due to the dry conditions in our fields and the neighbouring farms. Vapes are not permitted inside the room. If you are smoking outside of these months, please bring your own ashtray and dispose of all ash, and cigarette buts safely in the main bin area outside of the property, or take them home with you. PLEASE DO NOT SMOKE CIGARETTES OR ANY OTHER SUBSTANCES ANYWHERE NEAR ANY OF THE PROPERTIES. Thank you. STRICTLY NO CANDLES OR NAKED FLAMES Inside or outside the property. This includes incense sticks! PARKING Please book your parking space for one CAR ONLY. OTHER VEHICLES NEED TO BE PARKED ELSEWHERE. If you have two CARS you will need to check there is a space available. If you have any other vehicle e.g camper van, van or caravan, you must check in advance to see if there is space to park. You may have to use the car park across the road at the pond. All cars are parked at the owners risk. We supply soaps, shampoo, conditioner, white fluffy towels and bathmats for your convenience. Complimentary tea, coffee and a jar of cookies on arrival. AIR CONDITIONING We provide a Dyson cooling fan to help keep the room comfortable during warmer weather. Please note this is a cooling fan and not refrigerated air conditioning. Special menus, including Champagne Breakfast, Picnic (seasonal), and Late Arrival options, are also available but require a longer lead time. Please place all standard orders at least 48 hours in advance. Savor alfresco dining in any of the designated areas on the grounds, weather permitting, or have your meal delivered directly to your room. PLEASE NOTE: The Ruby Supper Club may not always be open for Room Service, especially around Bank Holidays. They are a separate company and run their own events. It can be set up in the room for your arrival. (Some guests prefer not to have a fridge in the room). Just let me know when you book and it will be arranged. Recently the local TAXI COMPANIES have proved to be exceptionally busy and it has been noted that taxis do have to be ordered in advance. Uber does not operate in this area.
