Located in the idyllic surf town of Barwon Heads, the Tiny Beach House at Bancoora Lodge is a unique coastal farm stay on the Bellarine Peninsula. Surrounded by birdlife, farm animals and expansive skies, you can reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Our tiny house is eco-friendly and appointed with everything you need for an amazing stay. We’re perfectly positioned within walking distance to the beach, shops and cafes, and a short drive from the world famous Great Ocean Road. The space The Cypress Tiny Beach House is situated at Bancoora Lodge, a working farm in the seaside town of Barwon Heads. It's the closest farm to town and just a short 15 minute walk to the beach and main street, making it a completely unique stay. The tiny house is nestled under a bank of mature Cypress trees, providing a shady spot to relax and enjoy the views, and a picnic table for outdoor dining. The large deck provides an outdoor living area, with some comfy chairs to enjoy a coffee or nightcap. The views are incredible day or night, with the unspoiled views of Geelong to the north, along with an enormous skyscape perfect for stargazing. You will also spot our pet cows and sheep grazing nearby. We also have some incredible native birdlife that visit the property, such as Black Cockatoos, Butcher Birds, Black Shouldered Kites and Fairy Wrens. Despite it's tiny size, the house feels light and roomy and comes equipped with everything you need for a great stay. Features: - Dedicated lounge space with expansive, northerly views from the sofa - Large kitchenette with bar fridge, 2 burner gas cook top and very quiet dishwasher - Private ground floor bedroom with sliding door, plush queen sized bed and ample closet space - Dedicated work nook with stool, deskspace and power outlet with USB charging - Spacious bathroom with full size shower and vanity - Eco friendly composting toilet - Large deck with outdoor setting - Reverse cycle heating and cooling for your comfort - Shaded front yard (more like paddock) with picnic table for outdoor dining - Hairdryer, iron and ironing board provided - Pantry basics of olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, tomato sauce, instant coffee, tea, sugar and cling wrap are provided - Gas BBQ - As an extra treat to make you feel welcome, we also have looseleaf tea and ground coffee for you to enjoy in the teapot and french press Guest access As a guest of the Cypress Tiny House, you'll have access to a dedicated fenced area on the farm with private parking and bbq area. Other things to note A few things to note: - Bancoora Lodge is home to two tiny houses, Cypress and Moonah, separated by a large paddock. This listing is for the Cypress tiny house. The Moonah tiny house may also be rented to guests at the time of your stay. - This is a tiny house, and while it's been designed to feel as roomy as possible, you will be living tiny, which can have some quirks! We've popped notes in the guest book for you to help you navigate the space and access the amenities with as much ease as possible. - No wifi, but we have good reception for most carriers so you can stream from your device - The composting toilet is top of the range, for comfort and cleanliness, but it is a little different from a regular toilet. If you've never used one before, don't worry, we provide clear and simple instructions - Our beautiful pot belly fireplace is available for use from May to October. In the warmer months, we provide a split system is available to keep the place warm on any chilly nights. - You can enjoy the views of the entire farm, but some paddocks are off limits for your safety - The upper lofts in the tiny house are for storage only and not accessible - This is a working farm with cows and sheep, so please be mindful of signage on the gates to ensure everyone's safety. - You may see us around on the farm however we like to give you your space and privacy.
