The Cottage | A Cozy, Vintage Retreat
The Cottage | A Cozy, Vintage Retreat
Description
The Cottage is a 1940s cozy space for family and friends to unwind, connect, and enjoy a magical Michigan summer. Spend your days laying in the sun at the Lake Michigan beaches, biking along the lake front path, and hiking in West Michigan’s famed State Parks. Spend your nights around a campfire or visiting Downtown's famed breweries. Located two miles from Lake Michigan in the residential “Lakeside neighborhood” of Muskegon, our 1940s-era cozy rental is centrally located for your adventures. The space The rental features a driveway and street parking, a fenced-in back yard with four Adirondack chairs and a fire pit. We have wifi, a television in the living room (for you to connect your viewing apps to), a constantly-expanding board game collection for rainy days, and even a bocce ball set! If you are traveling with a larger group, please reach out directly. Our next door neighbor also has an Airbnb home for rent. Please note: The home is not on the lake, nor does it have beach access or a view of the lake. We are located in the neighborhood that is called "Lakeside" due to the short bike or drive down to two different lakes (Lake Michigan and Muskegon Lake). Our rates reflect this, as larger, high-end properties in the area directly on the Lake can cost 4-5 times our nightly rate and often have a week long minimum rental period in the summer. Please also note: the rental is from the 1940s. The kitchen especially reflects this. It is cozy and does not have more modern amenities like a dishwasher or garbage disposal. Please review the photos prior to your booking so that your expectations are in line with what we can offer you. Guest access You will have access to all areas of the home and yard, aside from the host's storage area in the basement. There is no garage access. Other things to note No sublet or sub-rentals permitted. The guest who books the listing is expected to stay with the group at the rental and not sub-let out the space to others.
