Walk to the heart of Stowe to dine, shop, get groceries, etc ~8mi/15min to Stowe Mnt ~Prime SE location-Park before Village+Mnt Rd traffic ~Kitchenette-Coffee/tea, Fridge, Microwave The space Welcome to the Stowe Village Nest! 1. ▪︎▪︎The Very Best Location in Stowe▪︎▪︎ Located on Main Street on the south side of Stowe Village, (coming from 89) you arrive at the Nest just before the traffic line starts. We are, give or take, 800 ft from the center village on a lovely walk on a sidewalk lined with houses and trees ending in village shopping, coffee, & Stowe's many festivities. The ski bus shuttle stop that goes to Stowe Mountain Mansfield and Spruce Peak is a 5min walk. It returns you to a 5 min walk. or if you ask nicely, some drivers will drop you off home in the driveway! Without the need to drive through town, you can park at the Nest and walk the rest of the time, 3-6minutes to the Stowe Village center stores and restaurants and establishments--enjoy a late dinner without the need to drive home after drinks. Or enjoy a stop at the handmade chocolate store for ice cream or hot chocolate, just 2-3 minutes from the door. Most of all, the location allows you to experience Stowe Village life while avoiding sitting in the traffic on both central Main St and Mountain Rd -- what can add up to hours of your vacation. If you do plan on going up to the mountain, whether to ski or hike, you can take the back road up, by driving a few minutes back down Rte 100. Then it is only only 15 min or 9mi to the mountain resort when the regular road is backed up with traffic. The Nest is in the best spot in Stowe. (I live in the apartment above for a reason!) It couldn't be more convenient! 2. ▪︎▪︎▪︎Inside the Nest▪︎▪︎▪︎ ••••••Section Highlights: 2a) --Private entrance right on Main Street --Immaculate, professionally cleaned --Luxury Queen mattress --High-end linens and towels --Modern bathroom, great shower w/ endless hot water ▪︎▪︎▪︎Inside the Nest▪︎▪︎▪︎ After parking in your dedicated, private spot, you will walk onto a flagstone path and through your little porch through into your own dedicated entrance off of Main St. A bright red door opens to a white- and neutral-themed tranquil oasis, a first floor apartment within our two floor condo, one of the newest modern complexes in Stowe. You will notice it is immaculately (professionally) clean as you walk onto cushioned cream carpeting. Inside to the left, find a white tailored couch. A small desk and red chair can be placed to the right there by request, otherwise it is a console table with a flat-screen Roku TV ready to program for your own shows. Ahead of you, a luxuriously-appointed queen bed awaits you for a nap or restful night. After a long day of outdoor fun, wrap yourself in the faux fur throw blanket and unwind. The bed is dressed with luxurious organic, long staple Pima cotton sheets, and a mix of 100% pure down pillows and allergen-free Purloft pillows -- eco-friendly and Orthotex certified. The mattress was new in Spring 2021, motion-isolating, cooling -- the highest-end Casper mattress, both Certi-Pur certified and guaranteed made w/out ozone depleting chemicals. You may have one of the best night sleeps you've had in a long time. We hear this a lot! Your private and lovely bathroom is not ensuite, but accessed right outside the bedroom door. You step onto a lovely oriental carpet, on a small little extra hallway/foyer. Here you'll find the kitchenette, a "bookshelf of extras," and the fold out desk if you would like to work from home. (It is tucked behind the blue shelf with coffee etc). If you turn right after walking through this little room -- the bedroom door behind you -- immediately right, five steps from the door is the bathroom. It is new and clean, with white fixtures, an adjustable chrome shower head, and a beautiful slate floor. Enjoy lovely soaps, towels, endless on-demand hot water, and great water pressure -- always enough for long hot showers after hiking and snow sports! The kitchenette has a Keurig, water heater, full fridge and freezer, and microwave for heating up leftovers or a nice drink in the evening or morning. There is no stove or dishwasher or sink. There are a few paper plates and plastic forks/spoons provided as well as cups and coffee mugs. You have hear from a heat pump to be extra warm / a/c in the summer which is great and rare in Stowe! The high-speed internet will keep you online should you need to plug in. Many extras differentiate the Nest. For one, there is a Blue 411 Hepa Air Filter Machine, runninh on auto, whisper quiet in the background in the foyer behind the curtain which filters 3000 sq feet and keeps the 800 sq feet of downstairs (less than 1/2 yours) w super clean air. With the constant risk of everything respiratory, Covid and otherwise, and a general awareness of the need for sanitary, clean air, I run this and another one 24hrs a day in both the upstairs and downstairs. This may be the cleanest air you ever breathe on a vacation indoors. Among other extra touches, you'll find bedside chargers, a map set out for you, and a digital key code programmed just for your stay. The Stowe Village Nest is sparkling clean & luxuriously appointed. With only a five minute walk to the heart of the village, the mountain and year-round fun just minutes away, what is basically a dedicated village parking spot (it's impossible to park in the village at times otherwise) this is one Air BnB you don't want to miss! 2b) ▪︎▪︎Please note in description/photos to make sure its a good fit: -- --Third person/fold out futon is for a child only. If you are not sharing the queen it is not "luxe" by any means and would be disappointing to an adult looking for a getaway vacation. --This is a Main St village property which means Main St noise including plows in the winter and fire and police. Reviews will tell you best, (and we live above and love it). This building is one of the newest and most modern in Stowe with great insulation and windows, so it is quiet. The Green Mountain Inn and at least 15 other airbnbs are on Main St, and numerous hotels and airbnbs are on Mountain Rd--this is one of the quietest, I promise. That said, a property convenient to the village is not quiet like one in the woods. Vermont cannot be all things. This is a village property as quiet as it can be while still on Main St. If you seek quiet quiet, you will be happier somewhere else. I hope you have the BEST TIME wherever you book and love Stowe as much as we do!! *** If the room is available for three when you book (depending on the season, it is listed as such). And you book for three... the fold out futon is for a child or small person. Three is only for 2 Adults and 1 child. ******** Additional details: Walk to the bike path and any restaurant or cafe downtown! Without traffic, be at first chair to ski in 15 minutes! Walk to Doc Ponds, the Bench, Plate, Harrisons -- really anywhere in the village! Access to Mountain Biking around the corner! Rent gear -- outdoor, bikes, XC and Alpine skis etc from AJs Ski and Sport within walking distance or a two-three min drive! Also I put a coupon in the room for you! Walk to Black Cap and Main Street Cafes -- or get a drink in the evening on the lawn at the Stowe Pour House! Have a drink at the bar at Harrison's, Plate, or bar at Green Mountain Inn within a 5-6 min walk! No need to drink and order an Uber! (there are only two Ubers in Stowe for everyone!!) Take a bike ride or a long walk on the Bike Path or get an ice cream on the picnic tables overlooking it -- and watch the sunset behind Mt. Mansfield. Guest access Dedicated little porch and private entrance in the front of the condo building. Two teak chairs and a red metal table are there for your enjoyment. There is a pretty side lawn if you want to sit over there, and the chairs on the porch fold if you would like to carry them over there. Both of these looks out on Main St which isn't always peaceful outside, though the cars die down at night. It is very peaceful inside all the time with the new modern windows and construction! Digital key for ease, security and independent 24/7 access. The studio entrance/porch opens onto directly onto Main Street. Parking for one car off street. Other things to note I suggest bringing bikes, skis, snowshoes, xc skis, boots, outdoor gear, bathing suits, towels, kayaks, canoes, SUP boards, rock climbing stuff, outdoor wear, bug spray, a cooler if you plan on going to the lake or swimming holes (or buying a lot of craft beer -- the fridge only holds 8 beers). I would plan accordingly to the season. :) If you're a biker or hiker or skier or any of these or say, just an general outdoor enthusiast, well, you probably know the drill. And if not, you can rent or buy any most of these things here, so just bring yourselves!
