Charming castle in the heart of Périgord Vert

Gandillac castle, a beautiful residence dating in part from the 15th century with heated swimming pool, welcomes you to the tranquillity of Périgord vert in Dordogne. Its seven spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, can host up to 15 guests. Peace and relaxation await you indoors and outdoors, whether you find yourself in the castle's warm and confortable living spaces, cozied up to the fire, or strolling through the fourteen hectares of fields and forests surrounding the residence. The space The castle which dates back in part to the 15th century has four main rooms on the ground floor: a large kitchen with its original stone flooring and large regional fireplace called a "cantou", a spacious dining room with fireplace and large dining table sitting easily 14 people, and 2 connected living rooms of which one has a remarkable Louis XIV fireplace. The grand stone staircase is found in the center of the residence, giving access to the upper level where six vast bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, are located. Bedrooms are furnished with eco-friendly and top-end beds made in France. One bedroom has a queen-sized bed (160 x 200 cm) and the others each possess 2 long single beds (90 x 200 cm) that can be placed together to form a full king-sized bed (180 x 200 cm). The seventh bedroom which has just been constructed is on the ground floor and is handicap accessible. The castle has been decorated with our own furniture and furniture found in the Dordogne region. The two floors are connected by 3 different flights of stairs. Guest access You will have exclusive and complete private use of the main castle and its grounds, except for a separate wing where we reside. During your stay, please don't hesitate to contact us if you require anything as we are not far. You can freely enjoy the entirety of the grounds, as long as you are willing to share them with the free-roaming fauna (deer, boar, rabbits, foxes, birds etc., and our two cats who come and go. You may sometimes see us as we maintain the gardens and grounds. You have exclusive use of the heated swimming pool as well as the pétanque terrain. Other things to note If you like, board games, a ping-pong table, a badminton and volley-ball net, soccer and volley balls, ping-pong and badminton rackets, pool accessories and pétanque balls are at your disposal. We also have comic books and reading material for kids.
