A beautiful house and location with stunning views of the magnificent Chateau and valley. On one side is a large kitchen dining room with a huge fireplace and log burner and access into the private rear walled courtyard garden, a perfect spot for breakfast or relaxing with drinks in the evening. On the other side an impressive sitting room with its tall ceilings, and stylish décor is a wonderful place to relax ( tv in this room). The old original staircase takes you up to a large spacious landing where you can sit and read or just take in the views across the valley. Two large bedrooms (king size bed / double size bed ) both with their own large en-suite bathrooms. This home is perfect for holidays all year round, cosy warm in the winter months and cool inside during the hot summers. On demand hot water and fully heated throughout with digital thermostat and two log burners to give a cosy homely feel . All mod cons such as dishwasher, washing machine, large range style cooker, microwave, large fridge freezer,TV and Wi-Fi, will mean you’ll feel at home for your entire stay.The garden across from the house has south/west views where you can soak up the sun on its large furnished terrace and take in the maginificent views of the chateau and valley. Please note most of the flooring on the first floor are original so slope slightly and some of the doorways downstairs are low. Other things to note Events around the Chateau throughout the year, include Opera nights, music performances, brocantes/flea and food markets. A wonderful restaurant situated in the square under the imposing front of the chateau just a minutes walk from the house. The village also has a convenience store, charcuterie, boulangerie, café, tourist office, and pharmacy, plus a weekly market. The walks from the front door into signposted woodland walks and valley are the best in the region in our opinion. So many different walks and wildlife to see you'll be spoilt for choice. Perfectly located with so many places’ to visit in this region whether on foot bike or car. Thiviers town receiving the “Best Market in Aquitaine” for 2022 and is simply a food lover’s paradise, definately worth a visit on a Saturday morning. Brantôme is best known as the Venice of Périgord Vert whilst Périgueux is unquestionably a beautiful town to explore and shop. The charming St Jean de Cole is like something from a film set with its cafes restaurants and cobbled streets, and if you happen to visit at the beginning of May then the flower market is a must. The Périgord Vert has outstanding beauty, gorgeous undulating countryside and steeped in history. There is something for everyone be it a gentle stroll around a lake, canoeing, mountain biking, road cycling, horse riding, golf, walking/hiking or simply sitting in a French café with a coffee watching the world go by.
