Very clean. 5-8 min drive to Children Hospital, downtown, Portage Bay, Lake Union and Eastlake. Easy bus to Amazon or Microsoft. The space Large clean furnished studio with a large walk in closet on the 3rd floor facing Brooklyn Ave with a open view which is rare in U District. It has a large private kitchen and bathroom as well as carpeted floor. * Air-Conditioned *Equipped kitchen (we have simple supplies such as pots and pans, utensils and kitchen wares, stove and microwave) and dining room and full bath (both bath and showers available) with towels and mat. *Furniture include a queen bed, a TV and TV table, a book shelf, desk and desk chair. *Quiet, conveniently located in the heart of U District. *Free business level wifi! *New Maytag washers and dryers in the building * Controlled secure access. * Easy access to I-5. 10 min to get to down town normally; 20+min in rush hour. Interesting! many tenants have asked me if the building is mostly empty for it is so quiet. On the contrary, it is 95% fully occupied. Due to the good insulation and solid structure, the sound proof is very good. A couple reviews in 2022 said about construction, the tall apt building across the street was finished in the end of 2022. This is a super convenient location close to public transportation and stores. Short drive to every famous tourist spots. No wonder developers like this location. This lovely brick building, originally a classic hotel and a landmark, is in a great location at the heart of the U District but is very quiet due to good management, located between NE 45th and 46th St. on Brooklyn Ave. Try to take the Burke Gilman trail to Lake Washington), bus lines, grocery stores (Trader Joe, Safeway), movie theater and restaurants within close distances. Farmer market* is 2 blocks away on the same street. Seattle, the Emerald City, boast some of the nations best mass transportation. Many bus lines just around the corner which only take you 10 seconds to. You can go anywhere in town. Most tenants are quiet graduate student or visiting scholars. Our 600 square feet large studio with private kitchen and bathroom is reasonably priced compared with $300 +hotel price per night in summer. Short term Corporation Housing tenants are welcome. The University District Farmers Market is on the Brooklyn Ave NE & NE 50th St, it is Seattle's oldest and largest farmers/food-only neighborhood market. Founded in 1993, this Saturday market is nationally recognized as one of the best farmers markets in the U.S. Over sixty Washington State farmers and artisan food producers offer an excellent selection of seasonal produce, cheeses, eggs, meats, poultry, seafood, baked goods, preserves, market bites (ready-to-eat foods) and more throughout the year. Guest access Laundry room with 6 new coin operated Maytag washers and dryers are in the lower floor level. Due to its prime location in the center of U District, Parking is NOT free. It is $15 per day or $210 per month, please contact me for the parking assignment. Access to our back parking lot is from 45th Street. The alley is between Brooklyn Ave and University Way, next to a tea shop. Head north and you will see the iron gate. Please open the gates (swing one open and slide the other open), and park at an angle. Other things to note This unit is on the top (3rd) floor with no elevator. According to the law, buildings with only three floors are not required to have an elevator. However, the wide stairs with landings make the climb easier. This is a top-floor unit, so no one lives above you. Please report the exact number of occupants. The listed rent is based on one person. There is an additional charge of $15 per guest per night for extra occupants with advance notice, or $25 per night if no advance notice is given. If two people are staying, please wait 30 minutes before the second person showers after the first shower. For check-in and check-out procedures, as well as other important information, please refer to the house manual in your itinerary. Utilities & Energy Usage The owner covers water, sewer, electricity, and solid waste. However, tenants are expected to use electricity responsibly. For long-term guests (stays over 28 days): • If electricity usage exceeds $60 per month for one guest or $80 per month for two guests, the guest(s) will be responsible for paying the difference. This policy helps prevent unnecessary energy waste. Long-term guests (over 28 days) receive a discounted rate compared to weekly or daily rentals. Therefore, after the initial household supplies are used, guests must purchase their own consumable goods. Additional Notes • The west-facing window overlooks Brooklyn Avenue, where high-end hotels and apartments are located. • The listed cleaning fee covers stays from 3 to 30 days. • For multiple-month stays, the minimum cleaning requirement is basic cleaning multiplied by the number # of months. • If the unit is excessively dirty, guests must cover additional cleaning costs or damages at a rate of $35 per hour for cleaning.
