Orlando's Hideaway is situated on a quiet one way street, a 3 min walk from Stratford's beautiful parkland. Built in 1879 the house has been faithfully renovated back to its original historic beauty & charm. There is a front porch-ideal for watching theatre goers as they meander these streets on their way to the Festival Theatre. With original wood floors, hardware and trim-the modern amenities include a well equipped new kitchen. Upstairs is the spacious bedroom with a queen sized bed and three piece bathroom ensuite. We own and love this house, have known the previous owner and as such it's been a home from home for us. Our son in the '00's spent many days as a toddler roaming this house and gardens, and we are happy to have been able to renovate this home with a view to keeping its 'feel' being one that you constantly want to return to. We know you'll love it (and the neighbourhood) as much as we do. This home is an extension of our award winning B&B, The Old Rectory. We both share a passion for good wholesome food. Kevin has worked previously for 15 years at some of the U.K.'s and Irelands finest 'Relais & Chateaux' Country Inns and Hotels in their restaurants before moving to Stratford from Ireland in 1993. Kim is a native of Stratford and has traveled extensively on a private yacht catering to crew and invited guests. Both of us now enjoy life together in the great community of Stratford with our son among family and friends. Together we hope to nourish your body and soul. Guest access Welcome to Orlando's Parking is on the gravel driveway to the left of the building. There are 3 parking spaces, one single and two in tandem. There are several families with young kids in the old neighbourhood-please be mindful when backing out. We hope you will find all that you need to have a wonderful stay in Stratford. Smart TV with Netflix enabled Bose speaker-bluetooth enabled and portable. Charger cable is in the cupboard above the fridge. The closets in each of the bedrooms have a motion sensor light. The light will turn off after 5 minutes of inactivity. We have provided Coffee, Tea, Milk and Creamers, Sugar and Sweeteners Orange juice, Cereal as well as our home made bread and other baked goods, butter cream cheese and our home made preserves to get you started.
