Stroan: luxury dog-friendly cottage, New Galloway

The perfect place to escape for a few nights away with friends (minumum 3 nights) or longer holidays with the family. Stroan provides dog-friendly, luxury holiday accommodation across two floors in a traditional Galloway stone cottage. Renovated to the highest standards it has maintained its character but has a modern, contemporary feel. The space Access to the cottage is via the entrance hall. The master bedroom has an en-suite walk-in shower room and is on the ground floor. It has zip and link beds that can be made into a King-size bed on request (please let us know your preference when you book). Stairs from the entrance hall lead up to the first floor. Upstairs is a spacious open-plan living/dining/sitting room area. It’s fully equipped with everything you’ll need to enjoy your holiday home from home. In the colder months you can curl up on the sofa and warm your toes in front of the wood-burning stove. Maybe you’ll discuss your day of adventures and plan what to do tomorrow. This space leads onto another twin bedroom with zip and link beds, again this can be made into a king-size bed on request. Up a short flight of stairs is a beautiful bathroom complete with a walk-in shower and a luxurious roll top bath. So if you’ve been out on your bike or walking the hills, you can enjoy a relaxing soak before you head off to bed. Soft, fluffy towels and fresh, quality bed linen is provided – we’ve got all the home comforts you’ll need. Whilst Stroan doesn’t have its own garden, there is a play park and field just across the road. Perfect to take your dog(s) for a run around during your time here. Parking is available on the road outside the cottage or in the public car park a short walk away (down the hill opposite) where there are also EV charging points. Guest access Guests have shared access to the laundry room which has two washing machines and two tumble dryers. This is used by guests at our other holiday cottage too, as well as being available to the local community. Other things to note Please note that steep stairs lead from the entrance hall to the main living area and there are additional steps that lead from there to the family bathroom.
