We are located on tree lined street in a charming neighborhood known as North Lawrence, just north of the Kaw River and Historic Downtown Lawrence. There is easy access to walking and biking trails along the river. A short drive to the University of Kansas. It is a unique and beautifully crafted home, originally built for our mother. It is fully furnished and handicapped accessible. A fabulous tower room with skylights and a bit of a tree house feel. The space A separate handicapped accessible living space attached to our home. It has an open full kitchen combined with a dining area and workspace with a large work table originally designed as a quilt studio. a living room, one bedroom has a queen size bed. The second bedroom is a sleeping nook with a twin bed next to the workspace, it can be closed off for privacy. A tower room with a twin trundle bed. Handicapped accessible ramp to entry, handicapped main bath, a stair lift to the tower. Wide door ways. Televisions in the living room and Kitchen/dining workspace area. A sweet little screened in back porch with a porch swing. Guest access Private access and one covered parking space. Additional parking available. Other things to note This is a complete home connected to our home. We are just 2 blocks from the train tracks and with trains come the train whistles, several times a day. Please take note, we are pet owners, a dog and a cat. They do have access to the place when it is not rented and will often try to visit guests given half a chance. We make every effort to keep them home when we have guests, unless a guest misses their own pets... in that case Dusty, the dog and Xen, the cat are more than happy to step in and keep you company for a bit.
